Ankura’s Data & Technology Business Group includes client services in the areas of Data Analytics & AI, Analytics & Data Strategy, and Cybersecurity. Our Data & Technology team helps our internal and external customers design, execute and test innovative solutions in each of our respective areas. 

Role Overview
The Agentic AI Senior Managing Director role is an executive level position that sells, leads and manages cutting edge, autonomous AI client engagement(s). The successful candidate will be a recognized thought leader who can translate the technical complexity of Generative AI and Agentic Frameworks into clear, measurable business value. The candidate will be a "person of stature" and self-sustaining rainmaker who generates $3 - $5 million+ annually. This role requires an individual who is both a deep technical expert and a proven rainmaker capable of building a team, defining a strategy, and driving a substantial book of business.  

Responsibilities:

  • Initiates and converts business opportunities and collaborates with other Senior Managing Directors to sell and deliver engagements that generate $3 - $5 million+ annually 

  • Establish the strategic roadmap and go-to-market plan for Ankura's Agentic AI, aligning it with the firm’s global growth objectives 

  • Develop and implement a clear strategy for incorporating Agentic AI into the firm’s service offerings and processes to help drive new revenue opportunities 

  • Lead integration of autonomous AI systems to enhance client service delivery and internal operations 

  • Provide ultimate technical oversight on the architecture and deployment of complex autonomous AI workflows 

  • Establish and enforce rigorous LLMOps (Large Language Model Operations) processes to ensure solutions are scalable, monitored, and perform reliably in production 

  • Direct the strategy for Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, focusing on data ingestion, vector database strategy, and secure integration with enterprise data sources 

  • Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on projects and assess performance for engagement and year-end reviews 

  • Design, craft and deliver client proposals, presentations, and marketing materials  

  • Participate in business development activities such as public speaking events, conferences, seminars, marketing events and client meetings 

  • Serve as a thought leader within the organization on data and analytics innovation, sharing knowledge and best practices 

  • Market research and analysis, GTM strategy development, and sales enablement 

  • Responsible for innovating and enhancing the D&T business group technological capabilities and offerings 

  • Working with practice architects/consultants to ensure the integration of modern technologies and tech delivery processes to realize success 

 

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or another analytical area 

  • 20+ years in Data Analytics & AI and technology consulting 

  • A successful track record of generating $3 - $5 million+ annually 

  • Strong understanding of agentic systems, architecture, and capabilities 

  • Hands-on or direct leadership experience designing and deploying Agentic Architectures using frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Semantic Kernel 

  • Expert-level knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), including vector databases, embedding models, and custom data processing pipelines 

  • Deep expertise in Generative AI models, large language models (LLMs), natural language processing (NLP), and the required data infrastructure for their ethical and secure deployment 

  • Deep expertise with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) 

  • The candidate will possess a strong personal brand within Data Analytics & Agentic AI and deep market-making relationships resulting in a robust flow of inbound calls and bookings 

  • Proven record of accomplishment of developing and implementing AI strategies (ML and Generative AI) that deliver measurable business outcomes 

  • Ability to analyze complex data, make data-driven decisions, and articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences 

  • Strong understanding of data and analytics solutions, including market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape
