We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of International Tax to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned tax professional to lead the delivery of a comprehensive range of international tax services, advising U.S. and foreign high-net-worth individuals and private clients. Responsibilities:
Strategic Tax Structuring and Planning: Lead research and consultation on tax-efficient structuring tailored for high-net-worth individuals and private clients in the international arena.
Client Consultation: Provide expert guidance on international tax developments and implications, offering strategic recommendations for pass-through entities and individuals.
Tax Compliance Oversight: Oversee primary and secondary reviews of complex international tax returns, including Forms 5471, 5472, 8865, 8858, 3520-A, and 8288.
Specialized Tax Planning: Advise on foreign trusts, international gift and estate planning, and pre-immigration tax planning.
Leadership and Development: Lead, develop, train, and mentor staff on tax projects, conducting performance assessments for engagement and year-end reviews.
Client Relationship Management: Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, meet deadlines, and effectively lead change efforts.
Business Advisory: Consult with clients to make strategic recommendations on business and process improvements, serving as a trusted business advisor.
Collaborative Approach: Work closely with partners, managers, and staff to integrate practice development skills into a team approach for client service and business development.
Business Development: Collaborate with partners and senior managers on proposals and business development calls. Maintain strong client relations and cross-sell services within your client group.
Recruitment and Coaching: Recruit and coach senior associates and associates, helping them develop and achieve their professional goals.
Continuous Learning: Attend professional development and training sessions regularly to stay updated on industry trends and tax changes.
Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting. CPA certification, master’s in taxation, LLM in Taxation, or JD preferred.
Experience: Eight to twelve years of progressive tax consulting experience, preferably with a Big 4 firm, law firm, or a large corporate tax department of a multinational company.
Technical Skills: Superior analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills with proficiency in US GAAP and tax compliance and consulting.
International Tax Expertise: At least five (5) years of experience focused on international taxation preferred.
Specialized Knowledge: Extensive experience with inbound and outbound transaction consulting, multinational corporation taxation, transfer pricing, and foreign tax credit utilization is highly desirable.
