Data is at the core of modern business, yet many teams struggle with its overwhelming volume and complexity. At Atlan, we’re changing that. As the world’s first active metadata platform, we help organisations transform data chaos into clarity and seamless collaboration.

From Fortune 500 leaders to hyper-growth startups, from automotive innovators redefining mobility to healthcare organisations saving lives, and from Wall Street powerhouses to Silicon Valley trailblazers — we empower ambitious teams across industries to unlock the full potential of their data.

Recognised as leaders by Gartner and Forrester and backed by Insight Partners, Atlan is at the forefront of reimagining how humans and data work together. Joining us means becoming part of a movement to shape a future where data drives extraordinary outcomes.

The Role

As our Senior Manager, Talent Operations, you'll build the infrastructure that scales our global hiring efforts. You'll lead through systems, data, and people; making it easier for us to find great talent and for great talent to find us.
You'll:

  • Lead & Develop Teams: Mentor talent operations members, setting priorities, fostering professional development, and building execution capability across the organization

  • Drive Data Excellence: Build comprehensive TA metrics, dashboards, and reporting infrastructure that informs strategic decisions, measures candidate experience at every touchpoint, tracks brand perception, and ensures data integrity across all People systems

  • Own Systems & Processes: Implement and optimize our global talent tech stack with documentation and frameworks that work across diverse cultural and regulatory environments

  • Deploy AI & Automation: Build AI agents, workflow automations, and intelligent tooling that measurably improve talent operations and enhance candidate and recruiter experience

  • Build Our Talent Brand: Create talent attraction strategies that cut through the noise in competitive markets, turning our unique culture and mission into a magnetic pull for top talent

  • Partner Cross-Functionally: Drive alignment across HR, Finance, IT, Legal, and business stakeholders while ensuring seamless system integrations that support our global scaling needs.

You'll Thrive in This Role If You Have…

  • Leadership Experience: 7+ years scaling Talent/People Operations in high-growth, global tech environments, with proven experience managing teams of 3-7 people

  • Technical Depth: Hands-on experience with AI/automation in recruiting workflows, modern ATS/HRIS platforms (Ashby preferred), APIs, data flows, and building custom solutions

  • Global Operations Expertise: Experience operating across multiple countries with deep understanding of cultural complexity, compliance requirements, timezone coordination, and how to maintain consistent employer brand across markets

  • Systems Thinking: Background at companies known for recruiting excellence, with experience designing and implementing system integrations across talent, people, and business functions

  • Consulting Mindset: Strong analytical and project management skills, exceptional stakeholder influence, comfort with ambiguity, and ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences while keeping candidate experience at the center

Your Background

A common thread of successful candidates is that they are able to quickly understand problems, design elegant solutions, build stakeholder buy-in, and drive measurable outcomes. While we are looking for a diversity of experience, backgrounds can look like:

  • Management or operations consulting: bringing frameworks for rapid diagnosis, solution design, and stakeholder alignment

  • Internal consulting/transformation roles: with experience driving change across complex organizations

  • Blend of experience across startup and larger tech companies: understanding how to build scalable systems from first principles, while also bringing the operational rigor and stakeholder management skills to drive adoption across a complex, global organization

  • Global operations roles: navigating complexity across markets and cultures while maintaining a consistently high bar for candidate and recruiter experience

What Success Looks Like in Year 1

  • Integrated Tech Stack: Clean ATS workflows with <24hr data latency and trusted, self-serve executive dashboards for pipeline health, hiring velocity, and DEIB metrics

  • AI-Powered Efficiency: Automated workflows reducing manual effort by 30%+ while improving both candidate and recruiter experience

  • Seamless Operations: Clear process ownership and documentation across Talent-People-Finance with zero-friction handoffs

  • Global Scalability: Initial frameworks for internal mobility and compliance that flex across all countries

  • Team Excellence: High-performing team with clear development paths and measurable improvement in stakeholder satisfaction

  • Talent Brand Momentum: foundation for talent brand strategy established with initial metrics showing positive trajectory in key metrics (increase inbound from target companies, higher offer acceptance rates, culture/mission as primary reasons for joining)

  • Strategic Roadmap: Next-generation TA systems architecture with clear ROI and implementation timeline

  • Data-Driven Culture: Established rhythm of insights-based decision making with proactive recommendations to leadership

Bonus points

  • Background spanning both Talent Operations and broader People/HR Operations

  • Experience in startup or scale-up environments (Series B-D growth stages)

  • Familiarity with modern AI/ML tools and automation platforms

  • Background in service design or user experience principles

  • Track record of building award-winning candidate experiences or employer brands

  • PMP or similar project management certification
