Investment Operations Associate

Outstanding opportunity to join a newly formed team within the Soteria Reinsurance Group within Fidelity Investments!

The Role 

The Investment Operations Associate role within Soteria Reinsurance Group will be responsible for providing day-to-day operational support to the Soteria investment team.  The role will report to the Vice President of Soteria Investment Operations.

• Provide ad hoc support to the Soteria Portfolio Managers for reporting, analytics, and data needs.

• Monitor compliance with investment guidelines and research and resolve as needed.

• Support cash management process, including instruction for wire movements for capital calls, providing allocations to fund managers, and monitoring cash availability across portfolios.

• Assist VP of Investment Operations in new portfolio launches and with operational due diligence activities.

• Liaise with internal business partners; FFIO, compliance, legal, and FIAM, in support of the Soteria investment team.

• Monitor portfolios within AlphaBet and Clearwater and reconcile activity.

• Serve as point of contact for investment operations related inquiries.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to multi-task and work independently. Comfortable working with senior management.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• BS/BA required.

• Minimum of 1-4 years financial services experience, preferably in an asset management related role.

• Outstanding critical thinking, problem solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.

• Proven ability, flexibility, and resourcefulness to manage multiple high-priority deliverables in a deadline driven environment.

• Proven team-player with strong communication skills who is willing to engage in constructive feedback discussions.

• Ability to think creatively and independently while working in a collaborative environment.

This role will be an important member of the investment operations function within Soteria Reinsurance’s Operations and Strategy team.  We are responsible for providing best-in-class support to the investment professionals to assist in the asset management needs of Soteria Reinsurance clients. 

Fidelity’s hybrid working model blends the best of both onsite and offsite work experiences. Working onsite is important for our business strategy and our culture. We also value the benefits that working offsite offers associates. Most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office.
