SUMMARY

Q2 is seeking a Senior Manager of Software Engineering to lead our Integrations team, a critical group responsible for extending and enhancing Q2’s digital banking platform through best-in-class third-party integrations.

In this role, you will lead and grow a team of engineers designing, building, and operating highly reliable applications and services using Go, C#, and the .NET framework. The ideal candidate is a hands-on people leader who is curious, proactive, and comfortable navigating complexity. You see the bigger picture of platform ecosystems and third-party integrations, while staying grounded in engineering excellence and user experience.

This role blends people leadership, platform strategy, and deep technical credibility. You will lead high-performing teams while owning outcomes across quality, observability, security, and CI/CD pipelines. You’ll partner closely with Product, Architecture, Security, and Developer Experience teams to deliver an industry-leading fintech platform that empowers both Q2 customers and external developers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and mentor engineers; manage planning through release and monitoring

  • Implement and maintain CI/CD (e.g., GitLab/Jenkins) and automated testing

  • Ensure reliability and crash‑free performance with monitoring and reporting

  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend teams on roadmaps

  • Drive continuous improvement and cross‑org initiatives for cost and performance

EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE

  • ~10 years total experience (Sr Manager level); advanced degree with 6+ acceptable

  • 2–5 years managing and developing employees

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and SDLC required.

  • Experience with C# .Net and Golang preferred.

  • Experience with building cloud native solutions is a bonus.

  • Experience with AI tools for development and productivity a bonus.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills; banking domain a plus
