Job Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and manage multiple high-performing software development teams, delivering enterprise-grade solutions and overseeing end-to-end development
- Drive complex technical projects from planning through execution while promoting automation and DevOps adoption
- Establish development standards, processes, and best practices to ensure software quality and scalability
- Lead technical proof-of-concepts (POCs) to evaluate technologies for future adoption
- Hire, mentor, and manage developers while addressing performance and people-related issues
- Provide technical guidance for estimating efforts, troubleshooting production issues, and collaborating with onshore/offshore teams for successful delivery
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Engineering degree with 14 plus years of total experience with 6+ years of experience in managing application development teams
- Experience in designing and developing REST based services / Microservices and Integrations
- Exposure to AWS/GCP or any other cloud platform, APIGEE Edge, CI/CD
- This role requires a good understanding of the SDLC, new ways of developing software including Agile and Devops
- Exposure to Telecom OSS will be an added advantage
- Experience in front end technology will be plus
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven track record of designing and developing large scale, high quality full stack software systems using Java, Spring Boot, API using DevOps methodology
- Familiar with deployment in Docker containers orchestrated by Kubernetes
- Candidates should have strong communication skills (written and verbal)
