At Klaviyo, we value the unique backgrounds, experiences and perspectives each Klaviyo (we call ourselves Klaviyos) brings to our workplace each and every day. We believe everyone deserves a fair shot at success and appreciate the experiences each person brings beyond the traditional job requirements. If you’re a close but not exact match with the description, we hope you’ll still consider applying. Want to learn more about life at Klaviyo? Visit klaviyo.com/careers to see how we empower creators to own their own destiny.

Klaviyo is the autonomous B2C CRM powering 195,000+ brands. Our social presence should reflect that reality. This isn’t about polished corporate content or just a steady stream of product updates. It’s about showing up with the same intelligence, speed, and relevance that define our platform: real-time, data-driven, and built for how modern brands actually connect with consumers.

This Sr. Manager role owns our organic social strategy end-to-end, across LinkedIn, Instagram, X, TikTok, Reddit, and wherever attention is shifting next. You’ll lead a lean team, partner closely with Brand, PR, Creative, and Product Marketing, and bring a clear, opinionated perspective on how an AI-first company shows up in culture. You’ll translate complex ideas—like autonomous marketing, unified data, and AI agents—into content that’s sharp, engaging, and actually worth paying attention to.

You’ll operate at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and systems, using AI as a core part of how we create, test, and scale. Not just faster content, but smarter content: informed by signals, shaped by experimentation, and constantly improving.

This role is for someone who believes the old B2B playbook is already obsolete, understands the shift toward AI-powered, creator-led content, and is excited to define what social looks like for the next generation of marketing platforms.

What You’ll Own

Strategy & Channel Ownership

  • Own Klaviyo’s organic social strategy across all channels, setting direction, sequencing priorities, and making deliberate bets on where to show up and how
  • Architect a social presence, not just a content calendar, with clear ownership of performance and outcomes by channel
  • Develop and maintain platform-specific strategies, aligning format, voice, and cadence to how audiences actually engage on each platform
  • Identify and activate emerging channels early, staying ahead of where merchants, operators, and ecommerce founders are spending time
  • Build and scale employee advocacy into a core distribution engine by activating executives, operators, and customer-facing teams as credible external voices
  • Develop a dark social strategy that accounts for private sharing and influence across Slack, DMs, and communities, incorporating self-reported attribution and community seeding

Influencer & Thought Leadership

  • Build and lead a modern influencer strategy spanning top-tier industry voices, emerging creators, and leading customer brands
  • Establish relationships with high-impact, recognizable influencers who shape opinion across ecommerce, SaaS, and marketing
  • Position Klaviyo executives and internal leaders as category-defining thought leaders with consistent, high-quality content
  • Activate customers as storytellers, turning leading brands into advocates and visible proof of Klaviyo’s impact
  • Design scalable systems to source, manage, and amplify influencer and creator content as a primary driver of reach and brand awareness

Content, Creative & Product Storytelling

  • Lead the creation of content that earns attention and drives conversation, rooted in real customer insight and cultural relevance
  • Produce and direct short-form, creator-native content with a bias toward authenticity and speed
  • Build a distinctive, recognizable social voice that reflects the ambition and intelligence of Klaviyo
  • Integrate product innovation, launches, and key company moments into compelling social narratives that translate complex ideas into engaging content
  • Partner closely with Product Marketing, PR, and Brand to ensure launches and innovations are amplified through creator-led, high-impact storytelling

AI-First Strategy & Innovation

  • Operate as an AI-first team, using AI across strategy, ideation, content creation, and performance analysis
  • Continuously evolve how AI shapes social strategy, not just execution, including how content is discovered, consumed, and amplified
  • Build scalable, AI-enabled systems for content production, influencer management, and performance optimization
  • Stay current on emerging AI platforms and behaviors, including how tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity influence brand discovery and credibility
  • Lead experimentation with new formats, workflows, and approaches that leverage AI to increase speed, quality, and impact

Measurement, Impact & Leadership

  • Own social performance with a focus on brand awareness, share of voice, audience quality, and pipeline influence
  • Report to leadership in business terms, connecting social efforts to measurable impact rather than vanity metrics
  • Partner cross-functionally to turn company priorities into high-impact social moments that drive reach and relevance
  • Ensure social is embedded in every major campaign and initiative from the start
  • Manage and develop your team with high standards, clear feedback, and a focus on creativity, speed, and accountability
Who You Are:
  • 8+ years of experience in social media strategy, organic content, and channel ownership, with meaningful time in B2B, B2B2C, or consumer-facing tech brands
  • Proven ability to own and evolve a brand’s social presence, with clear examples of channels you built, voices you shaped, and measurable impact you drove
  • Deep fluency across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, and Reddit, with a strong understanding of how each platform’s algorithm, culture, and communities operate
  • Experience leveraging emerging and non-traditional channels like Reddit, and  online communities, drive awareness and engagement beyond owned channels
  • Hands-on ability to create content end-to-end, especially short-form video. You can concept, script, shoot, edit, and publish without relying on a large production team
  • Strong copywriting instincts with the ability to develop a distinctive voice, adapt tone by platform, and create content that drives engagement and sharing
  • Experience working with influencers, creators, or thought leaders, with a clear point of view on how to build and scale these programs
  • AI-native mindset. You actively use AI tools for research, ideation, content creation, and performance analysis, and understand how they are reshaping content and discovery
  • Experience building or scaling employee advocacy programs, or a strong perspective on how to turn internal experts into external voices
  • Data fluency. You can analyze performance, connect social efforts to brand awareness and pipeline, and communicate insights in a way that resonates with leadership
  • Experience managing and developing at least one direct report, with a clear approach to feedback, coaching, and raising the bar on output more and can articulate what good feedback and development looks like in practice.
