The Senior Manager of Social Media and Content Marketing will develop content strategy, create content across channels, manage social media presence, optimize SEO efforts, and measure performance while collaborating with various teams to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
The summary above was generated by AI

MinIO is the industry leader in high-performance object storage and the company behind the world’s fastest, most widely deployed object store, powering production infrastructure for more than half of the Fortune 500, including 9 of the 10 largest global automakers and all 10 of the largest U.S. banks. Our enterprise offering, AIStor, is engineered to handle the scale, speed, and pressure of modern AI and analytics, from terabytes to exabytes, all in a single namespace.

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Content & Social Marketing who is equally at home architecting a six-month content strategy and rolling up their sleeves to draft a blog post, write a video script, or redesign how we show up on LinkedIn. This is a builder role: you will own MinIO's content and social presence end-to-end, setting direction, creating the work, measuring outcomes, and iterating fast.

You are a strong writer and editor who can translate deeply technical concepts — object storage, AI pipelines, distributed systems and infrastructure — into narratives that are clear, compelling, and credible to a technical audience. You are also a skilled operator who can manage a content calendar, a lean budget, a small toolkit of AI-assisted tools, and a measurement framework that ties every initiative back to business impact.

What You Will Do:

Content Strategy & Narrative Development

  • Develop and own a comprehensive content marketing strategy that aligns with MinIO's corporate brand and AI-centric company narrative, balancing long-range planning with the agility to execute and reinvent as the market moves
  • Translate deeply technical concepts into compelling storylines that help advance the company vision: determine blog strategy for launches, develop recurring content series on owned platforms that advance a distinct MinIO point of view, and partner with engineering and product teams to make complex ideas accessible without losing their depth
  • Create, maintain and drive an editorial calendar that delivers consistent, high-quality content across all owned channels with clear accountability for deadlines and quality
  • Leverage AI tools thoughtfully across the full content workflow (writing, editing, video creation to raise the quality and velocity of output)

Content Creation & Execution

  • Craft exceptional content across formats: social posts, blog articles, video scripts, executive POVs, newsletters, and other assets that fuel the content funnel
  • Serve as a strong in-house writer and editor with sharp attention to detail producing work that reflects the MinIO brand voice and earns the trust of a technical audience
  • Partner with communications, product marketing, and sales to translate cross-functional priorities into content that is on-message, on-time and balances brand awareness with GTM acceleration
  • Proactively develop differentiated blog and content strategies for product launches and major announcements, acting as the connective tissue between what the product does and why the market should care

Social Media Leadership

  • Own and advance MinIO's social presence across LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and other relevant channels. Identify and act on missed opportunities to grow reach and engagement
  • Develop platform-specific organic and paid content strategies with a consistent cadence of creative ideas: not just what to post, but how to use each platform's mechanics (formats, timing, community features, delivery mechanisms) to maximize impact
  • Transform MinIO's employee advocacy program: design effective operations and execution that mobilize the employee base to amplify marketing and communications content, consistently expanding the brand's organic reach
  • Own and optimize executive advocacy across social platforms, developing content and a posting cadence that elevates MinIO leaders' voices in the AI and infrastructure conversation
  • Monitor social media trends, platform changes, and brand mentions, proactively surfacing insights and recommending actions to keep MinIO's social program best-in-class

Newsletter as Community & Advocacy Engine

  • Transform the MinIO newsletter from an information vehicle into a growth mechanism: develop engaging content, establish a tight publishing cadence, and work hand-in-glove with the MinIO growth team to drive community and advocate growth
  • Design the newsletter experience around the reader with careful curation of industry trends, technical insight, company news, and an ecosystem perspective in a format that builds loyalty and drives action

GEO, SEO & Owned Channel Optimization

  • Lead MinIO's generative engine optimization (GEO) and search engine optimization (SEO) efforts across owned content: blogs, the MinIO website, executive social platforms, newsletters, YouTube, and third-party channels including Wikipedia and Reddit and more
  • Build and maintain a framework for optimizing content discoverability, ensuring MinIO earns prominent placement in AI-generated search responses and traditional search results alike
  • Collaborate with the communications team on an integrated plan that improves MinIO's brand mentions across AI search environments through owned content excellence

Analytics, Budget & Performance Measurement

  • Establish and own the KPIs and measurement system for content, social, and AI search visibility selecting the right progress indicators and reporting on them with clarity and consistency
  • Manage a content and social budget with discipline, allocating resources across a lean bench of AI tools, content production, and paid distribution to maximize ROI
  • Provide regular reporting and data-driven insights in weekly marketing meetings and quarterly business reviews, communicating progress and making a clear case for resource decisions
  • Continuously optimize strategies based on performance data, bringing a test-and-learn mindset to every channel

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Internal Visibility

  • Act as a spirited collaborator who plans, executes, measures, and communicates with equal rigor. Produce quality work you own while raising the visibility of content and social efforts across the organization
  • Partner closely with communications, product marketing, brand, and sales teams to ensure content and social programming is tightly integrated with company-wide priorities
  • Champion the content and social function internally: help colleagues across departments understand how to engage with, contribute to, and amplify what the team is building

Your Skills and Experience:

  • 7+ years in content marketing and social media management in a high-growth B2B technology, AI, or infrastructure software environment
  • A true builder: equally strong as strategist and executor, with a proven track record of scaling content programs and the data to show it
  • Exceptional writer and editor who can translate complex technical concepts into narratives that resonate across audiences - from engineers to executives to industry press and investors - and elevate the MinIO brand story in the process; strong attention to detail is non-negotiable
  • Deep hands-on experience across LinkedIn, X, and YouTube, with fluency in content management systems, marketing automation, and AI-assisted production tools
  • Strong working knowledge of GEO and SEO best practices, including optimization for AI-powered search; experience with Profound strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with AI, cloud computing, data infrastructure, or storage technologies
  • Sound judgment, strong project management instincts, and a collaborative, a proactive can-do attitude that raises the quality of everything around you

What We Offer:

  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
  • 401K with 3% Contribution
  • Pre-IPO Stock Options
  • At least 12 Public Holidays
  • Flexible Time Off

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
