Datadog's Finance team collaborates with teams across the organization, providing commercial, operational and analytical support to ensure that Datadog's business continues to scale rapidly and efficiently. 

As the leader of Sales FP&A, you will play an important role in shaping Datadog’s go-forward strategy, working cross-functionally to make decisions that support the company’s growth and efficiency. Together with your team, you will be responsible for the annual planning/budgeting process for all sales segments, reporting sales metrics to understand and track performance, and evaluating investment decisions throughout the year. You will report to the Head of GTM FP&A, and be a key leader to connect the business, strategy, and finance cohesively together. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead annual budgeting and planning process for Sales by working cross-functionally with teams like Strategy, People, and Recruiting to ensure alignment between operational and financial goals
  • Develop recommendations for strategic decisions, which may include sales resourcing/ investments, commissions planning (and resulting expenses), or quota capacity
  • Meet regularly with business leaders and cross-functional partners to provide valuable metrics to influence decision making and ensure alignment of reporting
  • Monitor sales performance by analyzing sales attainment / productivity granularly and in aggregate to identify areas of opportunity or risk
  • Work as a part of the broader FP&A team to understand the company’s financials, analytics, and help the organization to scale thoughtfully
  • Manage the career development of one or more employees while acting as a motivational leader cross-functionally on the FP&A team
  • Other ad hoc projects and analytics to support the business

Who You Are:

  • 7+ years of professional experience in GTM FP&A, Strategy/Operations, investment banking, consulting or other relevant field  
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or economics 
  • Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint with proven experience in building financial models and managing complex data  
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Skilled at building relationships cross-functionally

Bonus Points:

  • MBA or CFA is a plus but not required; 
  • Solid understanding of Pigment is a plus, but not required
  • Experience in or understanding of a consumption-based software business model

Datadog offers a competitive salary and equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. $140,000$190,000 USD
