Senior Manager, Product Management-Multi-Tenant Platform Excellence (eCBR)
Product Management at Capital One is a booming, vibrant craft that requires reimagining the status quo, finding value creation opportunities, and driving innovative and sustainable customer experiences through technology. We believe our portfolio of businesses and investments in growth and transformation will result in a company with the scale, brand, capabilities, talent, and values to succeed as the digital revolution transforms our society and our industry.
The Opportunity:
As eCBR scales from a single-tenant solution to a high-velocity, multi-tenant powerhouse, we are looking for a Senior Manager to lead our Platform Excellence Tower. This is a strategic leadership role designed for a product thinker who thrives at the intersection of complex systems architecture, data integrity, and enterprise-grade reliability.
Your mission is to ensure that as we onboard diverse tenants, the platform remains a "Gold Standard" for accuracy and resilience. You won't just be managing risk; you will be engineering the frameworks that make risk impossible.
The Charter:
In this role, you will lead the "Well-Managed" strategy for the eCBR platform. You will act as the ultimate arbiter of platform integrity, bridging the gap between technical execution and business intent. You will be responsible for maintaining our track record of zero platform-led risk events while managing the exponentially increasing complexity of a multi-tenant environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Horizontal Capability Roadmap: Identify and define requirements for platform-wide capabilities-such as automated monitoring, self-healing data triggers, and proactive controls-that can be implemented horizontally across all tenants to enhance Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and system transparency.
  • Strategic Root Cause Analysis: Lead high-stakes technical RCAs for complex, cross-platform issues. You will coordinate across multiple teams (Data Tech, Risk & Compliance, and Operations) to determine ownership and drive permanent remediation.
  • Multi-Tenant Governance: Partner with diverse LOB stakeholders to ensure that platform growth in one area never compromises the stability of another.
  • Control Design & Defense: Own the lifecycle of platform controls. You will design, maintain, and defend these controls during annual testing, targeted assessments, and enterprise audits.
  • Executive Influence: Translate the technical risk landscape and your vision for platform excellence into actionable insights for VP-level leadership.

Who You Are:
  • A Systems Thinker: You can look at a complex web of data dependencies and identify the single point of failure.
  • A Scalability Expert: You aren't interested in one-off fixes; you want to build horizontal tools that solve problems for every tenant simultaneously.
  • A High-Stakes Communicator: You are comfortable standing between technical teams and auditors/executives, providing clarity and confidence to both.
  • Resilient: You thrive in high-pressure environments and are motivated by the challenge of maintaining 100% accuracy in a rapidly scaling ecosystem.

Capital One Product Framework
In this role, you'll be expected to demonstrate proficiency in five key areas which we consider to be the foundation for successful Product management:
  • Human Centered - Obsesses about internal and external customer needs to reimagine and innovate product solutions
  • Business Focused - Delivers game-changing outcomes by focusing on leverage and execution excellence
  • Technology Driven - Leverages technology to deliver innovative and resilient solutions that enable both near term and long term value
  • Integrated Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves complex problems to deliver outcomes while mitigating product risks
  • Transformational Leadership - Leads cross functional teams to solve customer problems and drive organizational alignment

Basic Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience working in Product Management
  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date:
    • A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)
    • A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products
