We are seeking a self-motivated Senior Manager to join the Performance Measurement Group.  This team is responsible for the calculation and distribution of private equity evergreen performance, as well as the completion of detailed performance measurement reviews on marketing/advertising materials.

This position will be a hybrid work arrangement.

What you will do:

  • Own and manage the calculation, analysis and validation of performance across the private equity evergreen program
  • Ensures accurate and timely reporting of time weighted returns (TWR), attribution, contribution to return and risk adjusted metrics such as standard deviation and sharpe ratio
  • Works closely with internal teams to ensure accurate timely completion of monthly/quarterly reporting, RFPs, and other custom calculation requests
  • Establish standard operating procedures and oversee processes/controls related to performance measurement
  • Create/redesign/enhance existing reporting framework to meet evolving needs
  • Interview, hire, and onboard Performance Measurement professionals
  • Develop, maintain, and execute training program for Performance Measurement Group
  • Manage staff, set goals, provide regular feedback
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on performance analytics for internal and external stakeholders, including investment teams, client reporting, marketing and IT
  • Maintain awareness of performance reporting standards (e.g., GIPS, ILPA, SEC) and ensure compliance where applicable

What you bring:

  • Strong understanding of performance methodologies, including time weighted return (TWR), IRR, attribution, contribution to return and risk adjusted metrics
  • Solid understanding of private equity fund structures, especially evergreen vehicles
  • Experience in completing complex performance calculations, reviewing data/materials for accuracy/completeness, and publishing performance data for internal and external consumption 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and assist in the development and management of high performing team; prior management experience is preferred
  • Experience interacting with and communicating to various stakeholders regarding industry standard performance measurement and benchmarking practices, demonstrating strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple and often competing priorities, superior problem-solving skills, and an understanding of requisite performance-related mathematical and quantitative techniques.  Able to creatively solution and implement results consistently
  • Proven ability to establish procedures and controls within a regulatory environment, and monitor / hold staff accountable for adherence to procedures
  • Broad understanding of analytical tools and related systems, including spreadsheets, accounting, and performance measurement systems, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Experience with reporting, dashboard, and other analytical tool design/creation/maintenance
  • Experience with data governance and developing and monitoring exception reporting preferred

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree, MBA or Certificate in Investment Performance Management (CIPM), CFA preferred

Experience

  • 5+ Years finance experience in private equity, particularly evergreen vehicles is strongly preferred
