Senior Manager, Participant Engagement Strategy – Tax-Exempt Market (TEM)

Shape the Future of Participant Engagement.

At Fidelity, we believe in making it easier for associates to deliver exceptional experiences to participants. If you're energized by aligning vision with execution, solving complex challenges, and leading transformative strategies across teams, we want you on our team.

Who We Are

The Tax-Exempt Market (TEM) Participant Engagement team is the strategic engine behind two participant-facing distribution channels:

  • TEMPA (TEM Planning & Advice)
  • WEPA (Workplace Education, Planning & Advice)

Together, these channels deliver personalized education and planning experiences to workplace participants—virtually and on-site.

The Participant Engagement Strategy team serves as the connective tissue across these channels, partnering with TEM and Wealth leadership to define, evolve, and execute a unified participant engagement strategy. We drive B2B2C innovation, optimize service models, and ensure our distribution channels are aligned to deliver measurable business outcomes.

As a Senior Manager, Participant Engagement Strategy, you will play a key role in advancing strategic initiatives that enhance how we engage participants and support associates. You will:

  • Support Strategy Development: Contribute to the creation and refinement of an integrated participant engagement strategy across TEMPA and WEPA. Help align stakeholders around shared goals and track progress toward outcomes.
  • Use Data to Inform Service Model Enhancements: Analyze participant and associate feedback, performance metrics, and business trends to support the design of future-state service models that balance digital, virtual, and in-person experiences.
  • Build and Strengthen Partnerships: Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Fidelity to support integrated efforts, share insights, and help scale successful initiatives.
  • Work with Agility: Operate in an agile-like environment, contributing to planning, execution, and change management efforts across multiple strategic workstreams.

What You Bring

  • Strategic Thinking: You understand systems and can connect dots across teams to support strategic priorities.
  • Influence & Collaboration: You build trust, foster alignment, and contribute to team success through strong relationships and communication.
  • Execution Focus: You bring structure to ambiguity, manage multiple priorities, and help move work forward with clarity and consistency.
  • Communication Skills: You simplify complex ideas, contribute to executive-level presentations, and help translate strategy into action, leveraging your strong PowerPoint acumen.
  • Curiosity & Initiative: You seek out new ideas, engage with adjacent teams, and proactively identify opportunities to improve participant and associate experiences.

Your Experience

  • 5 years in strategy, consulting, transformation, or program/project management roles
  • Experience working in large, matrixed organizations
  • Familiarity with Fidelity’s distribution ecosystem (TEM, Workplace, or Retail)
  • Demonstrated success supporting service model design, process improvement, or business transformation
  • Experience working in or supporting distribution channels preferred
  • Comfort working in agile or hybrid environments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute to complex projects independently and collaboratively

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
