We are looking for a Senior Manager, IT Systems Engineering to lead and scale our global IT infrastructure and platform capabilities. This role is responsible for defining technical strategy, building and mentoring a high-performing team, and delivering secure, reliable, and automated systems across core workplace technologies. 

Responsibilities:

Lead and Scale a High-Performing Team

  • Manage and develop a globally distributed team of IT engineers.
  • Lead the strategy to elevate DevOps maturity and implement scalable platform automation for operational excellence.
  • Provide coaching and career development to support growth and performance.
  • Foster a culture of inclusion, excellence, and technical curiosity.

Deliver Strategic Infrastructure Programs

Lead execution of Oura’s highest-impact IT initiatives, including:

  • IAM, Lifecycle Management, and Universal Directory
  • iPaaS and Automation Platform Modernization
  • SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) Deployment
  • UEM and Zero Touch Lifecycle
  • Audit-Ready Infrastructure for SOC 2, HIPAA, and HITRUST
  • Ensure delivery meets standards for resilience, security, automation, and compliance.

Drive Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Collaborate with IT, Security, Legal, Compliance, and Engineering.
  • Lead readiness for audits, certifications, and security controls.
  • Align IT systems engineering with enterprise security and GRC roadmaps.
  • Manage vendor performance and infrastructure contracts.

Advance Operational Maturity

  • Shape how Oura operates as a modern, automation-first IT function.
  • Define and track metrics for platform health, automation ROI, and service readiness.
  • Continuously improve internal standards, documentation, and processes.
  • Enable comprehensive automation, and promote maintainable, reusable infrastructure-as-code frameworks.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in IT systems engineering, infrastructure, or platform operations.
  • 5+ years leading technical teams, including direct people management.
  • Proven track record of delivering infrastructure at scale across global, hybrid, or remote organizations.
  • Deep knowledge of identity, endpoint lifecycle, automation, network, and SaaS management.
  • Experience building and managing teams in high-compliance environments (SOC 2, HIPAA, HITRUST).
  • Strong communication and leadership presence with the ability to influence across stakeholders and execs.
  •  Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.

Oura takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. US locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. While most offers will be closer to the starting range, successful candidates' pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

  • Region 1 $149,000- $186,000
  • Region 2 $138,000- $172,000
  • Region 3 $128,000- $160,000
