The Manager III - Hosting Services will lead infrastructure operations across UNIX, Linux, and Virtualization platforms. This role is responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of AIX, Red Hat Linux, OpenShift, VMware, and Nutanix environments. The manager will ensure platform resiliency, modernization, and compliance while collaborating with internal teams and external service providers.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead infrastructure operations for AIX, Red Hat Linux, OpenShift, VMware, and Nutanix platforms.
  • Own lifecycle management, patching, upgrades, and performance optimization for supported platforms.
  • Ensure SLA compliance and service resiliency through collaboration with Managed Service Providers and internal teams.
  • Drive strategic planning for platform modernization, disaster recovery, and capacity management.
  • Manage vendor relationships and licensing for Red Hat, IBM, VMware, and Nutanix technologies.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to platform engineers and support staff.
  • Develop and maintain service design documentation and operational recovery plans.
  • Support hosting services alignment with business continuity and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in infrastructure staffing planning and resource allocation.

Required Skills
  • Deep expertise in UNIX/Linux systems administration and virtualization technologies.
  • Proven experience with AIX V7.2+, RHEL 7-9, OpenShift clusters, VMware vSphere, and Nutanix AHV.
  • Strong understanding of service design, architecture, and operational recovery.
  • Experience with infrastructure compliance, security, and performance monitoring.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in leading cross-functional infrastructure teams in enterprise environments.
  • Background in hosting services within retail or large-scale data center operations.
  • Certifications in Red Hat, VMware, Nutanix, or IBM AIX technologies.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure staffing models and vendor contract management.
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and lifecycle management reporting.

ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: $120,960 - $181,440
IL/MA/MD/NY Salary Range: $139,120 - $208,680
Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions will be made in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
