About the Team:

The Supply Chain team turns design intent into executable reality, balancing lead time, cost, complexity, and manufacturability to ensure we can build and scale Terran R. On this team, you're not just placing orders; you're actively shaping the solution. With full ownership across raw materials, capital equipment, and services, the role requires both strategic thinking and day-to-day execution. As the company scales, supply chain becomes increasingly central, working closely with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and more to make decisions that work for today but also for tomorrow. This is a team for those who want to operate at the intersection of technical ambition and business execution, driving tangible progress to keep the Terran R program on track.

About the Role

As Senior Manager of Indirect Supply Chain, you will lead a team of procurement professionals and set the strategy for a large, complex indirect portfolio spanning targeted local commodities and cross-site categories. At the local level, your scope will include ground support infrastructure, construction, and metal structures and fabrication, among others. You will shape multi-year category and supplier strategies, drive transformation across systems and processes, and serve as the trusted indirect procurement partner to senior stakeholders across the business — delivering cost, quality, and service performance today while building capability for tomorrow.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of procurement professionals (category managers, sourcing specialists), setting priorities, building capability, and creating a culture of accountability and collaboration
  • Own a large, complex indirect portfolio, accountable for total cost, savings, supplier performance, and service across categories
  • Define and execute multi-year category and supplier strategies that balance near-term savings with long-term resilience and scalability
  • Lead high-value and complex sourcing initiatives and negotiations, setting negotiation strategy and securing favorable commercial, technical, and delivery outcomes
  • Develop senior-level supplier relationships and manage strategic supplier performance and continuous improvement
  • Partner with and influence senior stakeholders across Finance, Launch and Testing, Facilities, HR, Legal, and business units, and represent indirect procurement in cross-functional and financial planning
  • Lead the team to achieve KPI targets and drive continuous improvement across cost, quality, and service
  • Lead transformation of indirect procurement systems and processes (ERP, P2P/S2P, e-sourcing, contract lifecycle management) to increase automation and data-driven decision-making
  • Drive supplier risk management, third-party risk, and business continuity strategies for critical indirect suppliers and services
  • Champion sustainability, supplier diversity, compliance, and responsible sourcing across the indirect portfolio
  • Serve as the organization’s subject-matter expert on contracting best practices, advising on commercial terms and risk

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of procurement or supply chain experience, with a significant focus on indirect categories
  • 4+ years of people leadership, including developing and mentoring high-performing teams and, ideally, other leaders
  • Proven track record setting and executing category and supplier strategies across a large, complex indirect portfolio, with measurable savings
  • Strong negotiation expertise, with demonstrated success securing favorable commercial, technical, and delivery outcomes on complex agreements
  • Deep knowledge of procurement systems and processes (ERP, P2P/S2P, e-sourcing, contract lifecycle management; e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Ariba)
  • Executive-level communication skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to build, scale, and mentor high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven experience managing and developing complex contracts, with strong legal and commercial acumen
  • Experience sourcing construction, capital projects, ground support equipment/infrastructure, or engineered and fabricated goods

Nice to Haves

  • Master’s degree or MBA
  • Professional certification such as CPSM, CPSD, or CIPS
  • Experience leading indirect procurement transformation, including sustainability and supplier diversity programs
  • Experience in a complex manufacturing environment (aerospace, defense, automotive, or frontier technology)
  • Familiarity with government contracting, ITAR/export controls.
