The Senior Manager, HR Operations will serve as the operational backbone of the HR function, ensuring efficient, compliant, and employee-centered processes across the entire employee lifecycle. This role will lead HR Operations for a high-growth biotechnology company, partnering across the organization to build scalable people programs, systems, and processes that support all areas of the business.
The ideal candidate combines hands-on HR execution with strategic workforce planning, compliance oversight, culture-building initiatives, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Own full cycle recruiting processes, including development of job descriptions, interview frameworks, and candidate experience.
- Lead and execute onboarding programs that enable new members of the team to integrate quickly and contribute effectively from day one.
- Design, implement, and manage our performance management program, processes, and supporting systems that promote accountability, growth, and continuous feedback.
- Develop and support creative employee recognition and reward programs that reinforce company culture and values.
- Create social media announcements and posts.
- Develop and drive innovative ways to enhance employee experiences and engagement.
- Support managers and employees in identifying growth, development, and career progression opportunities.
- Administer a full menu of employee benefits; PFMLA knowledgeable.
- Drive employee engagement programs, communications, and initiatives appropriate for a science-driven team.
- Maintain HRIS, employee records, policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with all federal and state requirements.
- Build strong relationships with vendors and external partners that support our HR needs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree; advanced degree such as a Master’s in Organization Development or Human Resources is appreciated.
- Minimum 4 years HR operations experience in a biotech/pharma environment required.
- Excellent collaborator in partnering with colleagues across the organization.
- Proven ability to take initiative and get things done.
- Must have learning agility.
- Have confidence in negotiating and influencing others.
- Understanding of HR legal & compliance requirements.
