The Position
The Senior Manager Health Care Professional Marketing will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives aimed at engaging healthcare providers (HCPs) and driving brand awareness and adoption. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement effective omnichannel marketing strategies, coordinate educational initiatives, and manage event participation, all while tracking performance metrics to ensure successful execution. Ultimately, the position aims to enhance the HCP experience and optimize brand performance in alignment with overall business objectives.
Relationships
Reports to the Director of HCP/KOL Marketing. Collaborates with sales, marketing, training, and finance teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Essential Functions
• Brand/Therapy Area Management
o Support the development and execution of pre-launch, launch, and ongoing HCP-related brand/therapy area strategic objectives and activation strategies. Contribute to prioritizing HCP needs, opportunities, and sales forecasting to drive effective brand performance
• HCP Experience Strategy
o Assist in crafting and executing HCP experience strategies, ensuring consistent messaging and communication across all touchpoints. Play an active role in the implementation of various marketing initiatives
• Strategic Planning and Execution
o Help address competitive obstacles and participate in developing marketing plans that are both compelling and actionable. Collaborate on campaign development to ensure timely execution and alignment with the brand's strategic direction
• Omnichannel Experience Strategy
o Provide consumer insights to the omnichannel marketing team to develop and execute effective branded and unbranded marketing strategies that drive HCP engagement and activation efforts
• Early Market Education
o Support the design and execution of educational initiatives and campaigns that increase brand awareness among healthcare professionals (HCPs) for upcoming launches
• Learning Event Coordination
o Assist in organizing and coordinating participation in scientific conferences, symposia, and other relevant events to enhance brand visibility and engage HCPs effectively
• Measuring Performance
o Help establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of HCP engagement strategies, while regularly analysing data to inform strategy adjustments and improve execution
• Health Systems Strategy Support
o Collaborate with medical affairs and market access teams to support the execution of health systems strategies that ensure adequate access to brand for HCPs at the system level
• Budget Management Support
o Assist with the effective management of the marketing budget, ensuring resource allocation is optimized for executing strategies while remaining compliant with financial goals
Physical Requirements
20-30% overnight travel required.
Qualifications
• Requires a Bachelor's degree; advanced degree preferred
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience, including demonstrated history in a marketing or field engagement role within the pharmaceutical industry
• Experience in pharmaceutical industry/life science brand marketing strategy and planning; experience within TA preferred
• Experience designing and delivering field training programs for sales teams
• Understanding of field force dynamics and incentive compensation planning
• Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Expertise in regulatory guidelines related to promotional material development and field engagement
The base compensation range for this position is $ 116,810 to $ 216,100. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance.
