Company Overview

ClearView Healthcare Partners is a premier life sciences strategy consulting firm headquartered in Boston, with offices in San Francisco, New York City, London, Zurich and Gurgaon. Serving clients in the biopharmaceutical, medical device, and diagnostic spaces, we provide world-class strategic decision-making support across a diverse range of business issues. Our goal is to inform actionable recommendations that allow companies to achieve their business objectives.

Position Overview

The Senior Manager/Director, Expert Research Solutions (ERS) will lead and expand ClearView’s primary research capability — designing and executing an optimized network of payers, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and industry subject matter experts to support high‑impact client work. This role combines strategic foresight, team management, P&L responsibility, and relationship‑driven curation to ensure our consultants can access the precise expertise needed for each engagement.

The ideal candidate is both a strong operational leader, connector and brings a strategic lens, able to discern emerging needs across project types (e.g., challenging to recruit, highly specialized, or high‑volume studies) and proactively source the right partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the ERS vision and roadmap to align with the firm’s primary research and broader consulting priorities.
  • Prioritization and Value Creation: Identify where ERS resources create the highest client value — balancing hard‑to‑recruit segments, specialized expertise, and project scalability
  • Network Curation & Management: Build and maintain a best‑in‑class network of experts spanning payers, KOLs, industry leaders, and niche specialists across therapeutic areas and functional domains. Ensure ongoing engagement and quality collaboration.
  • Team Development: Lead, coach, and grow a small but high‑performing team of researchers and relationship managers, instilling best practices in expert sourcing, vetting, and compliance.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee P&L, platform partnerships, data management, and network sourcing workflows to ensure efficiency and quality.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with project leaders to anticipate upcoming needs and shape expert engagement strategies that enhance project outcomes.
  • Market Insight: Track emerging influences and thought leaders across healthcare, life sciences, and market access ecosystems to inform network expansion.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in expert network management, consulting research operations, or other relationship‑driven sourcing roles (life sciences or healthcare background preferred).
  • Background in a recruiting or executive search agency is highly transferable, especially experience curating specialized talent pipelines or expert networks.
  • Proven success building curated networks or strategic partnerships that deliver measurable impact.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills; strong brand ambassador presence when interacting with external experts.
  • Experience balancing high‑volume research needs and specialized project sourcing.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, prioritize investments, and lead small, agile teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred (MBA, MPH, or related discipline).

The first-year base salary for this position is $165,000 - $215,000

The above base pay range may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. In addition to the base salary, you will be eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.
