The Role:
As an experienced candidate, this role will oversee our Manufacturing and Facilities Systems team, focusing on state-of-the-art 24x7 technical support for critical CMC applications such as Syncade, Tempo, Wonderware, DeltaV, Pi, and Data Hub within our global manufacturing network. As a leader in this domain, you will be responsible for strategic oversight of Access Control Requests (ACR) provisioning, ensuring expert-level 24/7 support through an on-call rotation, directing complex incident management via ServiceNow, cultivating a rich knowledge base, and overseeing system monitoring with tools like Dynatrace. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining the integrity, efficiency, and GMP compliance of our operational systems. This role requires an expert understanding of operational processes, GMP, engineering principles, and the ability to drive collaboration and excellence across diverse teams.
Here’s What You’ll Do
Lead and manage the Manufacturing and Facilities Systems global support team, providing strategic direction for Tier 1 and Tier 2 support of CMC applications like Syncade, Tempo, Wonderware, and DeltaV.
Oversee the provisioning of ACR, ensuring compliance with GMP standards and secure access to systems.
Ensure the delivery of expert-level 24/7 support, managing an on-call rotation of highly skilled engineers.
Direct the incident management process using ServiceNow, focusing on reducing response times and enhancing system uptime.
Drive improvements to the incident management process utilizing KPIs and Metrics
Develop and maintain an extensive systems knowledge base, promoting best practices and continuous learning within the team.
Utilize advanced system monitoring tools such as Dynatrace to ensure proactive management of system health and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to align system changes and maintenance with broader operational goals.
Adapt to a flexible work schedule to meet the demands of a 24/7 operational model and provide leadership coverage as needed.
Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications)
A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on Manufacturing and Facilities Systems.
Over 6 years of experience in operational support roles with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity, including experience with Tier 1 support for CMC applications such as Syncade, Tempo, Wonderware, and DeltaV.
Expertise in GMP, engineering, and manufacturing processes, with a demonstrated track record of maintaining compliance and operational excellence.
Familiarity with one or more GXP digital manufacturing systems, including (but not limited to) Syncade, Tempo, DeltaV, Wonderware, PLCs, PI, and the underlying IT/OT infrastructure.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)
Master's degree in a relevant field or an MBA
Strong leadership skills with experience in managing technical teams and developing talent.
Extensive experience with ServiceNow for incident management, knowledge base creation, and process automation, focusing on OT applications.
Proficiency with system monitoring tools like Dynatrace, especially within an OT and manufacturing environment.
In-depth knowledge of IT/OT security best practices, access control, and regulatory requirements in a manufacturing setting.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to lead effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
A strategic thinker with a commitment to continuous improvement, capable of driving initiatives that enhance system reliability, compliance, and operational efficiency.
