Join us, as we continue to expand, grow and innovate, and help take Scandit to the next level.

Overview

Scalable, efficient demand creation is a critical priority for our DG strategy. As AI and automation technologies are transforming how modern software companies approach demand generation, Scandit needs dedicated ownership to operationalise these tools and integrate them into our systems, processes and model.

We are seeking a strategic leader to sit at the critical intersection of Demand Generation, Sales and Marketing/Rev Ops teams to create, own and optimize the systems, processes, and integrations that power our inbound and demand generation engine. The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail-oriented, and curious about how AI and automation can improve process speed, accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Your opportunity

The Senior Manager, Demand Generation Automation & Marketing Operations will own our functional architecture and lead the transition toward an AI-augmented outbound engine. You won't just manage systems; you will be a change agent responsible for defining the operational standards that amplify our marketing impact and drive efficiencies in how we go to market.

The mission: Your immediate focus will be to build a scalable, autonomous machine that handles the end-to-end inbound nurture cycle while surfacing high-intent accounts to our BDR team and automating outreach. Beyond the technical build, you will lead the strategic roadmap for workflow automation, influencing stakeholders to adopt modern outreach methodologies. As this system matures, your mandate will expand to include identifying broader operational efficiencies across our DG tech stack and marketing operations workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • AI & Automation Roadmap: Design and lead the transition toward an AI-augmented outbound engine and automating the end-to-end inbound nurture cycle. Build a scalable, autonomous machine that surfaces high-intent accounts to sales development reps and automates routine outreach tasks.
  • AI Orchestration & Governance: Design and govern the "logic" behind AI-driven personalization, including prompt engineering and agentic workflows. You will lead the QA of AI-generated outputs to ensure they maintain Scandit’s brand voice, while managing the lifecycle of automated agents used for account research, lead enrichment, and meeting preparation. Ensure reliability, deliverability, and compliance with GDPR, brand standards, and email best practices. Consistently monitor domain reputation management.
  • Systems Integration: Architect the tech stack required to power an autonomous demand engine. You will lead the business case for new tools and ensure the underlying "signal-to-action" infrastructure (connecting CRM, MAP, and AI) is clean, scalable, and highly integrated.
  • Experimentation & Optimisation: Run controlled tests to continuously improve workflows. Systematically measure the business impact, monitoring metrics like conversion rates, pipe-to-spend and ROI of the strategies you build.
  • Enablement & Adoption: Socialize and scale new processes across the Demand Gen and Sales teams. Create clear handoff and ownership to the sales development function for priority leads and accounts. Influence stakeholders to adopt modern outreach methodologies and drive the cultural shift toward automation-first operations.

Who You Are

  • 10+ years of Marketing Operations experience and experience leading direct reports.
  • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with tools like Salesforce, Marketo/HubSpot, Gong, Enrichment Providers, and modern "modern growth stack" tools (e.g., Clay, Zapier/Make, Relevance AI, Hockeystack/Dreamdata, or Lavender). Experience with LLM orchestration or agentic workflows.
  • AI Practitioner: Comfortable with LLM orchestration, token management, and the "Human-in-the-Loop" QA processes required to keep AI outputs high-quality and on-brand. You have deep curiosity and practical understanding of how AI tools can be operationalized to improve marketing impact.
  • Compliance Minded: You are rigorous about data privacy (GDPR), email deliverability standards, and maintaining a high bar for "human-sounding" personalization that doesn't feel like spam.
  • Growth Mindset: Strong testing/experimentation orientation, you focus on measurable outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Ability to act as the “bridge” between technical operations and Marketing.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
