WHO WE NEED:
HCSS is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Corporate FP&A to serve as the financial modeling and reporting anchor of the FP&A organization. This is a senior individual contributor and player-coach role within a newly structured Corporate FP&A sub-team, reporting directly to the SVP of Finance.

The Senior Manager will personally own the company’s consolidated financial close, long-range planning model, annual operating plan, cash flow forecasting, software revenue modeling, and management reporting — while also providing leadership and development to a small team of finance professionals. The scope of this role spans both the technical rigor of hands-on model construction and the organizational accountability of a senior team lead.

This role is designed for a finance professional who leads by example — one who produces senior-level analytical work independently while simultaneously developing the talent beneath them. Candidates who prefer to direct rather than build will not be well-suited for this position.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required; CPA or MBA preferred
  • 7–12 years of progressive FP&A or corporate finance experience, with meaningful tenure in SaaS, high-growth technology, investment banking, or management consulting
  • Demonstrated experience personally building long-range plans or multi-year integrated financial models from inception, not solely maintaining inherited frameworks
  • Strong to expert-level proficiency with FP&A planning tools; experience with Adaptive Insights (Workday Adaptive Planning) is strongly preferred, as it is the platform currently in use at HCSS
  • Deep fluency in SaaS financial metrics, including ARR bridge construction, NRR and GRR cohort modeling, bookings-to-revenue forecasting, and mixed revenue stack management
  • Working knowledge of revenue recognition principles under ASC 606 as applied to multi-type software revenue contracts
  • Expert-level proficiency in Excel; proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite or Sage Intacct preferred) and BI tools (Tableau, Looker, or Power BI)
  • Currently serving in a Senior Manager capacity, or a high-tenure Manager with a demonstrated record of operating at the senior manager level; both profiles will be considered
  • Ability to work standard Central Time business hours; availability during close cycle and board preparation periods as needed
  • Proximity to Sugar Land, Texas with the ability to attend in-person meetings on an occasional basis is preferred but not required

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in a PE-backed SaaS environment with direct exposure to sponsor reporting, adjusted EBITDA mechanics, and value creation plan tracking
  • Experience building or significantly contributing to a consolidated close process, including deferred revenue waterfall and revenue disaggregation
  • Background supporting M&A due diligence, integration finance, or scenario modeling in a transaction context
  • Prior experience as a player-coach managing junior finance professionals while maintaining a high personal output standard

Role Responsibilities:
  • Personally build and maintain the consolidated three-statement financial model, including monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow close
  • Own the construction and ongoing maintenance of the long-range plan (LRP), including multi-year scenario architecture and exit-readiness mechanics; SVP of Finance owns narrative and PE sponsor relationship
  • Lead all model mechanics for the annual operating plan (AOP); collaborate with the SVP of Finance on process leadership and strategic narrative
  • Produce the monthly management reporting package, including board and PE sponsor supporting analysis
  • Maintain the 13-week rolling cash flow forecast as a standing weekly deliverable, along with monthly cash bridge reporting
  • Own the adjusted EBITDA bridge and addback schedule in support of PE compliance requirements
  • Perform revenue disaggregation across all software revenue types (SaaS, term, perpetual, maintenance) in coordination with the Controller
  • Own OpEx governance and variance analysis across all functional cost centers
  • Monitor working capital metrics including DSO, DPO, and deferred revenue waterfall
  • Own the ARR bridge, NRR/GRR cohort analysis, bookings forecast, and software revenue model
  • Direct and develop direct reports without delegating senior-level analytical work
  • Serve as a key finance interface with the Controller and Accounting team across the monthly close cycle

Travel Requirements:
  • Occasional travel to the Sugar Land, Texas campus and leadership meetings may be required

Vendor Management:
  • Manages relationships with financial planning system vendors and external modeling consultants as needed
  • Collaborates with Procurement and IT to ensure FP&A platform solutions are cost-effective and appropriately integrated

Security Authority:
  • Responsible for safeguarding sensitive financial information, including forecasts, board materials, and long-range planning data
  • Works closely with IT and Compliance to enforce financial data governance, access controls, and confidentiality protocols
  • Ensures financial reporting systems and planning platforms comply with internal controls and data security standards

BENEFITS & PERKS:
Part of our mission is to provide a great life for our employees. We believe that when our people are happy, they do their best work. Some of the benefits and perks we offer include:

  • Flexibility to work Remotely
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage with company-paid and employee-paid options
  • Paid holidays, sick days, and personal time off
  • Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) that foster connection and inclusion
  • On-site amenities including a covered basketball court, soccer field, track, pickleball/tennis courts, gym, etc.
  • Dog-friendly campus and WiFi-accessible courtyards
  • 401(k) with a 5% company match
  • Coverage for employee professional development and wellness
  • And more!
