We're looking for a Senior Manager of Content Strategy — a visionary content leader who can elevate our brand through editorial strategy, world-class storytelling, breakthrough copywriting, and scalable content systems. In this role, you'll oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive content strategy—one that strengthens brand identity, engages our target audiences, and delivers measurable business outcomes.

As part of the Integrated Communications team, you’ll lead a high-impact team responsible for editorial direction, thought leadership, brand copy and bringing our narrative strategy to life in service to the Mimecast brand. From sharp headlines to long-form storytelling, your team will drive content that builds brand credibility, influences audiences and deepens engagement.

You’ll collaborate across the organization — partnering with product marketing, growth marketing, and customer advocacy— to bring the brand story to life, and to set the stage for the solution stories that follow

This role is about setting the tone for how we tell our story across every audience and channel in service to the brand, and partnering cross-functionally to tell our story at different stages of the journey (from ad copy to thought leadership). You’ll bring a strong POV on brand and voice, an instinct for editorial quality, and the operational chops to scale a high-performing content team. Just as critically, you’ll lead the development of a strategic editorial plan — identifying the themes, topics, and formats that resonate most with our audiences at every step of the buyer journey and aligning content efforts to business priorities.

You embrace AI not just as a tool, but a creative partner. You know how to blend human creativity with AI-powered systems to drive both craft and efficiency at scale, without compromising voice, originality, or strategic intent.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead Content Management: Own and maintain a centralized editorial calendar that maps content across themes, formats, and campaigns to ensure consistency, timeliness, and strategic alignment.

  • Establish Scalable Content Workflows: Define and optimize content production processes, including briefing, review cycles, approvals, publishing, and performance tracking.

  • Drive Multi-Format Content Creation: Lead the production of content across video, case studies, blog posts, thought leadership, white papers, and digital assets.

  • Align Content with Business Strategy: Develop and execute a content strategy that supports brand goals and business objectives, including pipeline generation, brand awareness, and customer engagement.

  • Build Content Franchises: Launch and evolve branded editorial series or franchises that deepen audience engagement and position us as a thought leader.

  • Manage Teams and Partners: Direct remote writers, editors, designers, and agency partners to deliver high-quality, on-brand content on time and at scale.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with product marketing, demand generation, web, and comms teams to ensure unified messaging and goal alignment.

  • Measure and Optimize: Monitor performance using content analytics, conversion data, and engagement metrics to inform ongoing strategy improvements.

  • Champion Editorial Excellence: Balance creativity and storytelling with editorial rigor, brand voice consistency, and audience value.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 10+ years in B2B content strategy, editorial leadership, or brand marketing with a strong emphasis on content operations and storytelling

  • Proven experience building and managing editorial calendars and content workflows at scale

  • Strong background in editorial content management—from blog and article planning to final production and distribution

  • Demonstrated ability to create and scale content programs that deliver business results (e.g., MQLs, pipeline, engagement, brand lift)

  • Experience managing and collaborating with remote creative teams and external agencies

  • Fluency with marketing analytics platforms and applying data to optimize content performance

  • Familiarity with content and project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Monday.com, GA4, etc.)

  • Excellent editorial judgment, copywriting sensibility, and attention to voice, tone, and detail. Comfortable with AI-powered tools and content tech stacks

The US base salary range for this position is $128,000 - $192,000 base + benefits. This reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. This position may also be eligible for bonus, and other related benefits.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. These factors and individual capabilities will also determine the individual pay offered.
