Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.

At Netflix, our approach to compensation is intentionally unique, designed to attract and retain the most talented colleagues globally. We pay employees at their personal top of market for the roles they’re hired into, using a combination of competitive market data, industry insights, and a deep understanding of individual potential.

To deliver on this vision, we need compensation leaders who can operate beyond conventional structures—leveraging data, creativity, and business partnership to define and deliver exceptional outcomes. We’re building out our global compensation team and are seeking a Senior Manager, Compensation to support our rapidly growing Ads & Partnerships business. This is a highly visible role, reporting to the Global Director of Compensation, and will be instrumental in shaping compensation strategy and leading strategic initiatives for this critical area of Netflix.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner directly with senior leaders across Ads, Partnerships, and related business units, collaborating with regional compensation leads and HR teams to develop a global perspective on compensation for these functions.

  • Lead strategic compensation initiatives that support the growth and evolution of the Ads & Partnerships business, including new market entries, partnership structures, and incentive design and broader global compensation initiatives.

  • Provide analytics and insights to guide compensation decisions, ensuring we remain competitive and aligned with industry trends, particularly in the dynamic digital advertising and strategic partnerships landscape.

  • Champion the development and growth of compensation expertise within the team, providing thought leadership and mentorship.

  • Develop and execute analyses to identify market movement, assess data gaps, and offer recommendations to close candidates while maintaining our top-of-market philosophy.

  • Collaborate with Talent (HR) Operations and Product & Technology teams to build and refine metrics and dashboards for business leaders and managers.

  • Participate in compensation surveys and leverage findings to inform Market Reference Ranges in partnership with Ads & Partnerships leadership.

  • Develop tools and processes that address the unique needs of the Ads & Partnerships business from a compensation perspective.

  • Educate and advise HR partners and business leaders on compensation strategy, programs, and best practices.

  • Support the design and execution of global compensation programs (e.g., pay equity, compensation reviews, job architecture, workforce planning), while leading ongoing and new strategic initiatives for the Ads & Partnerships organization.

What we are looking for:

  • 10+ years of relevant compensation experience, ideally supporting commercial, sales, advertising, or partnerships organizations in a fast-paced, global environment, tech industry experience is preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide direction and counsel to HRBPs and senior business leaders.

  • Strong analytical skills, with experience working with large data sets and advanced modeling in Google Sheets or Excel.

  • Strategic mindset with a passion for compensation and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

  • Experience navigating ambiguity and adapting to evolving business needs.

  • Familiarity with sales incentives design and other incentive programs.

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $230,000 - $610,000.

Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
