About Tala

At Tala, we’re applying advanced technology and human creativity to solve what legacy institutions can’t or won't. We are a global financial infrastructure company on a mission to unleash the economic power of the global majority, recognizing that today’s financial infrastructure doesn’t work for most of the world’s population.

We’re the first and only platform to combine the intelligence of a credit bureau, the payments execution of a fintech, and the relationship expertise of a bank into one vertically integrated solution. Our platform is powered by an expansive moat of proprietary data and AI/ML decisioning technology, enabling us to deliver instant, reliable liquidity personalized to every customer's needs. Through our flagship credit app, we’ve disbursed over $7 billion in credit to more than 12 million customers across Latin America, Southeast Asia, and East Africa. These customers have leveraged Tala products to start and expand small businesses, manage day-to-day needs, and pursue their financial goals.

Our pioneering work and proven impact have earned us consistent recognition, including being named to:

CNBC’s Disruptor 50 for five years.
CNBC’s World's Top Fintech Companies for two consecutive years.
Forbes’ Fintech 50 list for nine consecutive years.

Visionary investors, persuaded by the economic power of the global majority, have committed half a billion dollars in equity and debt to Tala's success.

Given the global nature of our team, we operate on a remote-first approach with office hubs in Santa Monica, CA (HQ); Nairobi, Kenya; Mexico City, Mexico; Manila, the Philippines; and Bangalore, India.

Most Talazens join us because they connect with our mission. If you are energized by the impact you can make at Tala, we’d love to hear from you!

The Role

We’re looking for a strategic, hands-on leader to drive Tala’s analytics organization to the next level. As Senior Analytics Manager, you’ll lead a team of analysts, standardize analytics processes, and ensure our data drives high-impact business decisions across product, finance, operations, and beyond.

This role is central to shaping how we measure, understand, and optimize our business performance. You’ll partner with business leaders and the Data Platform team to deliver reliable insights, scalable processes, and actionable analytics that empower decision-making across the company.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 8 to 12 analysts, building skills in SQL, BI tools, experimentation, and storytelling
  • Own the analytics delivery process: manage a shared backlog, prioritize high-impact initiatives, and ensure consistent, measurable outcomes
  • Standardize analytics workflows, documentation, and QA to ensure reliability and scalability
  • Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Product, Operations, and Credit to prioritize analytics efforts that maximize business impact
  • Collaborate with the Data Platform and Analytics Engineering teams to maintain a stable, accessible, and well-documented analytics layer
  • Advocate for tools, processes, and practices that enhance analytics efficiency and data-driven decision-making

What You'll Need

  • Proven experience leading analytics teams and delivering actionable insights in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge and experience with Financial Modeling
  • Experience in a company running many AB tests simultaneously and be able to design and run such tests in a similar environment
  • Deep expertise in analytics tools and workflows (dbt, Looker/Omni, Snowflake, or similar)
  • Strong strategic thinking: able to prioritize high-value initiatives and drive continuous improvement
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, bridging technical and business audiences
  • Empathetic, growth-oriented leadership that inspires and develops talent

Our vision is to build a new financial ecosystem where everyone can participate on equal footing and access the tools they need to be financially healthy. We strongly believe that inclusion fosters innovation and we’re proud to have a diverse global team that represents a multitude of backgrounds, cultures, and experience. We hire talented people regardless of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
