Job Description:

Are you passionate about using your analytical skills to derive insights and drive business strategy and success? Are you intrigued by being able to formulate the full picture by tying together seemingly disparate data points from multiple sources (e.g., customer attributes and behaviors, transactional history, call transcripts, digital activity, business financials) into one cohesive story? Are you ready to drive experimentation and strategic insights to optimize every aspect of the customer’s experience?

If yes, we want you to join our forward-thinking team and make a real-world difference for Fidelity’s 40 million individual investors.

The Team

We are seeking a creative and collaborative analytics professional with expertise in data-driven and hypothesis-based insights. As a member of the Customer Knowledge and Strategic Insights (CKSI) team, you will play a pivotal role in a dynamic group. You will partner closely with stakeholders across the business, working with agile, interdisciplinary teams that possess diverse skills in analytics, engineering, data science, marketing, product development, and more. Your insights will drive initiatives that optimize and personalize the Fidelity experience.

The Role

As a key analytics partner, this role will generate actionable insights that inform product strategy. Success requires leveraging data, analytics, and market intelligence to identify emerging trends, uncover growth opportunities, and tell a story of customer experience using data to inform long-term strategic decision-making. The individual in this role will be able to translate a business need or question into a hypothesis that can be validated via data analysis or experimentation. The position offers a unique opportunity to influence critical decisions that shape the future of wealth, planning, advisory, and insurance solutions, while accelerating the organization's shift toward a more data-driven and customer-centric operating model.

This is an individual contributor role.

The Skills You Bring
  • A cross-functional collaborator who can work across a team with diverse skills and abilities and find success for Fidelity and our customers.
  • Demonstrating a mix of analytical skills, you always focus on business use cases and customer needs.
  • Ability to use data to tell a story of customer experience, highlighting both successes and friction points to inform future initiatives and strategies.
  • Ability to translate a business need or question into a hypothesis that can be validated via experimentation or data analysis.
  • Ability to manipulate and synthesize data from large and sometimes unwieldy data into a cohesive story that delivers insights to a broad audience in a simple, clear, and actionable way.
  • Natural intellectual curiosity, initiative, and love for learning new skills and capabilities.

The Expertise We’re Looking For
  • 6 plus years of experience generating analytical insights to drive business actions, including experience with a range of analytical tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, etc.
  • Experience using and querying big data technologies such as Snowflake, Athena, etc.
  • Experience in designing and developing dashboards and reports by using Tableau, Power BI etc.
  • Experience with digital analytics using tools such as Adobe analytics
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative / technical field such as Data or Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics, or Finance. MBA or MS degree a plus

The Value You Deliver
  • Continuously improving data analytics and insights capabilities and spreading that knowledge and expertise throughout the organization
  • Delivering data-driven and actionable insights to enable objective, informed business, and product decisions
