Job Summary:

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Senior macOS Developer with a proven track record of leading technical teams and overseeing the delivery of complex macOS applications. The ideal candidate will not only possess in-depth expertise in macOS development but also can take charge of a team’s technical direction, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and performant solutions.

This role requires someone with hands-on experience who can guide the team through technical challenges, make critical architectural decisions, and ensure timely and efficient delivery of projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on requirements and deliver high-impact solutions while mentoring junior developers and setting the standard for code quality and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical delivery of macOS projects, ensuring quality and timely execution of all milestones
• Design, develop, and maintain macOS applications and system-level components
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to junior and mid-level developers
• Oversee the integration of applications with macOS system components, ensuring reliability and performance
• Make critical architectural decisions, setting direction for the team and aligning with project goals
• Collaborate with product, design, and QA teams to define and refine requirements and ensure successful project delivery
• Optimise applications for performance, memory usage, and power efficiency
• Write and enforce coding standards, best practices, and maintainable code principles
• Actively participate in code reviews, technical documentation, and knowledge-sharing sessions
• Continuously evaluate new tools, frameworks, and technologies to improve development processes
• Stay current with macOS development trends, tools, and frameworks, incorporating the latest advancements into team practices

Must-Have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in macOS application development
• Strong proficiency in Swift and Objective-C
• Experience with driver development and integration with macOS systems
• Deep understanding of macOS frameworks and development tools (e.g., Xcode, Instruments)
• Strong knowledge of OOP principles, design patterns, and software architecture
• Proven experience leading technical teams and delivering projects with high quality and on schedule
• Proven experience mentoring or training junior developers
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong awareness of code quality, security, scalability, and performance best practices
• Agile mindset and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Nice-to-Have:
• Experience with React Native or other hybrid development environments
• Familiarity with .NET technologies
• Strong knowledge of macOS application performance, security, and scalability best practices
