We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join our growing Legal team.

Our ideal candidate is an experienced High-Tech/technology and payments lawyer. As a commercial lawyer, you will be working on a wide variety of commercial contracts, including services agreements and vendor agreements, privacy issues and payments matters, as well as other general corporate law advice.

You will:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal contracts with clients, partners, vendors, and third parties (services agreements, NDAs, DPAs, SaaS agreements).
  • Advise on payments laws and work closely with the product and payments teams to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and payments licenses.
  • Keep up to date and analyze global privacy regulations to ensure continued alignment of the company’s products and data processing to such regulations.
  • Interact and work with the company's departments (sales, product, marketing, finance) on diverse legal issues.
  • Perform and provide other general corporate law advice as needed.

Salary Range: $160,000- $180,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

This role is based in New York (hybrid)

Requirements
  • A New York licensed attorney with minimum 4 years experience as in-house counsel for a Hi-Tech/Fintech company or prominent law firm.
  • Proven legal experience in the field of payments and privacy.
  • Fluent English (written and oral).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Multi tasker, self-motivated and persistent.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
