POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Legal Affairs Associate will play a key role within the Legal Department, partnering closely with teams across Bain Capital’s global platform. This individual will act as a trusted resource on legal and operational matters, helping drive coordination, efficiency, and execution across a wide range of business activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the following tasks:
- Partner with internal legal team, business units and external legal advisors to support on a broad range of legal and transactional matters across Bain Capital’s platform.
- Support cross-functional teams by providing legal operational guidance, enhancing process efficiency, managing transactional documentation and stakeholder coordination, and contributing to corporate governance functions such as drafting resolutions, preparing board materials, and overseeing quarterly and annual obligations.
- Oversee entity management – manage formations, dissolutions, name changes, structure chart and board updates.
- Oversee entity lifecycle management, including formations, dissolutions, structural updates, and maintenance of organizational records. Coordinate KYC processes and regulatory filings across jurisdictions, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness
- Maintain legal and corporate records in compliance with internal and external requirements
- Drive the execution of transaction documentation in coordination with external counsel and internal stakeholders, ensuring efficient management of signature processes and the timely, accurate delivery of closing materials. May be requested to perform other duties not mentioned above.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree from a top undergraduate program with a strong academic background.
- At least four (4) years of business or legal experience; experience at a major law firm, company or in-house at an investment firm is a bonus.
- Proven ability to build strong working relationships across functions and levels, including senior stakeholders. Excellent project management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize multiple projects with high attention to detail; strong sense of ownership and follow-through skills.
- Self-starter with initiative and confidence to take responsibility for decisions on time-sensitive matters.
- Creative problem-solving ability and sound judgment.
- Rock-solid discretion and capacity to handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
Compensation:
Expected Annual Base Salary $95,000 - $105,000
Actual base salary will be determined by a wide range of factors including but not limited to role, function, level, experience, qualifications and geographic location. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based upon factors such as individual impact, team and firm performance.
