As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking space , you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.
Job Responsibilities

  • Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
  • Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
  • Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firm wide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
  • Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
  • Adds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect


Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • 8+ years of hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, release management and operational stability.
  • Strong knowledge in Platform engineering, DevOps, automation, CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Github Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
  • Advanced in one or more programming language(s).
  • Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in cloud-native development and artificial intelligence.
  • Experience with deployment automation and rollback strategies.
  • Proficiency in Trunk-Based Development, Feature Toggles, Blue-Green Deployments, and Canary Releases.
  • Experience with feature flagging tools (e.g., LaunchDarkly, Unleash).
  • Proficiency in A/B testing and experimentation platforms (e.g., Optimizely, Split.io).
  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
  • Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.


Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Knowledge of mobile app delivery to provide improved solutions, experience in AWS or any cloud, Cloud foundry
  • Ability to drive shift-left strategies and modernize software delivery experiences.
  • Experience developing SDKs, API and UI facades for enterprise CI/CD toolchain to promote extensibility and innovation
  • Experience with gathering feedback, and metrics from developers and stakeholders on tools usage to continuously improve the CD processes.
