Core Responsibilities
The Senior Key Account – New Business is a vital member of the US Sales team and is responsible for delivering flawless execution of the business plan, while having ownership of key growth initiatives. In addition to supporting the delivery of the US Channels business plan, some of the other primary responsibilities include being the driver of and call point for key customer contacts, our brand protection initiatives, our in-store and digital strategy, as well as other key test & learn innovation efforts designed to put more of our products in consumers hands and grow our business.
1. Develop & Implement Business Strategy:
Strategic Orientation: Internalizes The LEGO® Group’s and our customer’s strategy to develop differentiated joint business plans which deliver upon our shared objectives, while capitalizing on the customer’s unique value proposition and shopper base.
Commercial Integration: Innovates upon our go-to-market principles to deliver a highly coordinated and ambitious commercial & promotional plan which encompasses all facets of the business-ranging from retail and storefront execution to platform marketing and eCommerce operations.
2. Drive Results: Delivers on key objectives to drive sustainable commercial growth.
Data-Driven Decision-Making: Drives strong scorecard performance against key traffic, conversion, and retail KPI targets through an analytical approach and a deep understanding of both the key paid & organic business drivers.
Planning & Operations: Liaises with partners in Operations to ensure execution of above-mentioned business strategy.
3. Relationship Elevation: Delivers on our customer value proposition through building a trusted & productive relationship as a key customer call point.
Effective Negotiation & Selling: Leverages a data-driven approach to negotiate and manage toward mutually valuable trade agreements.
Drive Shared Innovation Agenda: Applies insights to develop a test & learn agenda for future growth opportunities which deliver on enhancing brand protection efforts while elevating our brand.
Capitalize on Licensing Partnerships: Work in close-concert with key inbound & outbound licensing partners to improve business opportunities and reach more shoppers

US Channels is responsible for managing our business with key, strategic national and regional customers providing access to consumers, driving recruitment and active share growth for our brand. This team plays a critical role in building up commercial capabilities for The LEGO Group. The team is commercially responsible for driving the LEGO Group’s business in external retailers in alignment with strategic plans and growth expectations.
Focus areas:
Deliver on the LEGO Group’s mission to “inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow” by driving active consumer share growth through new B2B channels and distribution.
Deliver sales plans by driving commercial momentum
Align distribution strategy to deliver the right products in the most relevant channels to meet shopper needs. This is particularly important as we enter new product categories.
The US Channels team is tasked with pursuing strategically relevant B2B channel opportunities in a dynamic and fast-paced market.
Do you have what it takes?
Strong history of delivering results in current and previous roles.
Consistently demonstrates individual and team leadership behaviors.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to demonstrate drive and curiosity.
Demonstrated ability to successfully work both independently and in team environment.
Self-motivated and highly organized with ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (primarily Excel and Word)
Domestic travel required to support customer meetings and trade shows, as needed

There is no relocation budget for this role.

Compensation
The salary for this position has a range of $150,921.00 - $226,381.00 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalisation of the employment offer.Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
