What You’ll Do:

CoreWeave is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure) to design, build, and operate the Azure, AWS, and GCP platforms that power our internal IT and physical security systems. This role sits at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, enterprise IT, and data center security.

About the Role:

You will be a senior technical owner of our internal cloud foundations, responsible for secure, scalable landing zones, hybrid connectivity to data centers, and the infrastructure that supports identity, collaboration, IT operations, and physical security platforms.

This is a hands-on engineering role with architectural ownership. You’ll lead cross-functional initiatives, drive automation through Infrastructure as Code, and help define how CoreWeave scales its internal cloud footprint without compromising security or reliability.

  • Design, implement, and operate secure, well-governed Azure and GCP landing zones, including networking, IAM, policies, and guardrails.
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to provision cloud resources in a repeatable, auditable way.
Define and enforce security baselines using Azure Policy, GCP Organization Policies, RBAC, managed identities/service accounts, and secrets management.
  • Partner with Security and Networking teams to implement zero-trust and defense-in-depth architectures across internal cloud services.
  • Lead and support cloud infrastructure migrations and integrations associated with company growth initiatives, including acquisitions and platform consolidations.

Infrastructure You’ll Own:

You will own the cloud and hybrid infrastructure that supports CoreWeave’s internal IT platforms and physical security systems. This role focuses on infrastructure design, security, reliability, and scalability.

  • Cloud and hybrid infrastructure supporting physical security and surveillance platforms, including:
    • Video management systems (VMS) and network video recorders (NVRs)
    • Access control systems (badging, doors, turnstiles)
    • Environmental and safety sensors (temperature, leak detection, etc.)
    • Scalable ingestion, storage, and archival for high-volume video and sensor telemetry workloads
    • Secure connectivity between on-prem data centers and cloud environments (VPNs, private connectivity, firewalling, segmentation)
  • Cloud infrastructure supporting internal IT and business systems, including:
    • Core enterprise platforms hosted in Multi-tenant Azure/GCP/AWS
    • Shared internal services such as VDI, bastion hosts/jumpboxes, internal APIs, job runners, and internal tooling

Operations, Reliability & Automation:

  • Own the day-to-day reliability of internal cloud environments, including performance, capacity, cost, and security posture.
  • Design and operate monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions (Azure Monitor, GCP Cloud Monitoring, SIEM integrations).
  • Define and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and failover strategies for critical internal systems and security platforms.
  • Build automation and self-service patterns for common workflows (standardized workload onboarding, IAM roles, network patterns).
  • Contribute to and mature CI/CD pipelines used to deploy and manage infrastructure (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar).

Who You Are:

  • 7-10+ years of experience as a Systems, Cloud, or Infrastructure Engineer operating production environments.
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including:
    • Designing and operating multi-tenant (Azure) and multi-project (GCP) environments with centralized governance, policy enforcement, and cost controls
    • VNETs/VPCs, subnets, peering, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers
    • IAM/RBAC, managed identities/service accounts, and secrets management (Key Vault / Cloud KMS), Observability using AWS Elastic.
    • Storage services for high-volume data (object storage, disks, archival tiers)
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred), including modules, pipelines, and policy as code.
  • Solid understanding of network security and segmentation in hybrid cloud and data center environments.
  • Experience operating Linux-based workloads in the cloud (deployment, patching, configuration, hardening).
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting for infrastructure and applications.
  • Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Wondering if you’re a good fit? We believe in investing in our people, and value candidates who can bring their own diversified experiences to our teams – even if you aren't a 100% skill or experience match. Here are a few qualities we’ve found compatible with our team. If some of this describes you, we’d love to talk.

  • You love building repeatable systems and processes from scratch.
