Job Description

Senior IT Project Manager

The Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for managing the scope, schedule and budget for projects to deliver business applications used in our energy efficiency programs. The Project Manager will be directly responsible for the success of the customer and the success of the projects. The right candidate for this role will possess strong organizational and communication skills and will be able to plan, manage and execute software projects effectively.

Skills and competencies

Proven working experience as a project manager in the software implementations, including migration projects and new client deliverables

Ability to self-prioritize and optimally manage time and attention in a fluid environment.

Solid technical background, with understanding of business applications such as Salesforce.com

Natural relationship building and maintaining skills particularly across functional areas

Excellent client facing and internal communication skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage multiple complex projects at once

Exceptional organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

Ability to lead, inspire and motivate teams through tight timelines and difficult discussions.

Primary responsibilities
Partner closely with the business side project manager on implementations using Salesforce.com. Collaborating on a singular project plan from initial conception to post implementation support.
Communicate clearly and effectively with both on and off shore development teams, as well diversely located key stakeholders. Poses fluencies in both agile and waterfall methodologies.
Maintain strategic alignment between the business and technology teams at all times, promoting transparency and collaboration. Mitigate conflict and drive discussions with key stakeholders to resolve open questions or issues.
Present to senior executives on a daily basis, providing project updates and communicate progress to milestones and risks. Provide crisp and accurate details on project strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders; manage project stakeholder expectations; negotiate with and influence project sponsors on project specific tasks.
Coordinate with other IT Project managers and the Project Delivery Director on all projects to share best practices, give project updates and coordinate effective planning of resources across projects.
Working with minimal direction] , provide hands on project management, oversight, and governance, leading the project team to successful completion. This will include but is not limited to:
Develop project scope and objective] , involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Develop a detailed project plan, track daily updates for executive daily briefings
Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Understand current and future business goals and ongoing it issues to ensure business success
