  • Represent the organization at industry events to showcase thought leadership and keep abreast of emerging technologies and trends.
Architecture & Infrastructure

  • Ensure the design and development of robust, scalable data pipelines, data warehousing, and business intelligence solutions.
  • Champion a “quality-first” approach, incorporating practices like test automation development, automated testing, and zero-defect delivery.
  • Responsible for infrastructure decisions to ensure performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
People & Performance Management
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data engineers through effective goal setting, performance management, and career development planning.
  • Create an environment of continuous learning, emphasizing technical depth, compliance, and collaboration.
  • Conduct talent reviews and succession planning to ensure long-term capability development.
Operational Delivery
  • Deliver complex, critical data applications and services using best-in-class software and data engineering practices.
  • Ensure that service delivery performance meets or exceeds SLAs and key business metrics.
  • Address critical issues and remove blockers across all data engineering domains.
  • Drive service and cost optimization initiatives across the regional portfolio.
Supplier & Vendor Management
  • Build strong relationships with external data engineering service providers.
  • Support vendor evaluations, contract negotiations, and performance management.

  • Deep technical expertise in data architecture, cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and modern tooling (Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, and Airflow).
  • Proven track record of leading enterprise data initiatives, with a strong understanding of ETL/ELT, data modelling, and data warehousing.
  • Exceptional leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to get results across diverse, global, and multi-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in vendor/supplier management and contract performance oversight.
