The Senior IT Engineer will provide advanced technical support, manage IT infrastructures, ensure security, and lead incident response efforts in a remote environment.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure & Security Engineer to join our remote IT team. This role is ideal for a proactive and experienced professional who can handle advanced troubleshooting, manage and improve IT infrastructures, and ensure the stability, security, and scalability of both internal systems and client environments.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support and remote troubleshooting for network, hardware, and software issues.
- Manage, monitor, and optimize servers, user accounts, and security settings in Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and cloud environments.
- Administer, configure, and maintain IT systems, backups, and disaster recovery processes.
- Design and implement infrastructure improvements to enhance performance, security, and scalability.
- Configure and support networking components (firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, routing).
- Support automation and integration of IT systems using tools like Zoho, Monday, or similar platforms.
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks is REQUIRED (the candidate must be comfortable supporting users and troubleshooting QuickBooks-related issues).
- Lead or assist in incident response efforts, including security-related events and high-priority outages.
- Document procedures, configurations, and technical environments accurately.
- Assist with onboarding and access management across multiple client accounts.
- Escalate critical incidents to the Head of IT when necessary while maintaining ownership and follow-up.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve workflows, reliability, and security standards.
- Ensure compliance with security and data protection best practices across all environments.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or MSP environments.
- Strong knowledge of networking (firewalls, VPNs, Windows & Mac environments).
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, or similar cloud platforms.
- Experience managing backups, disaster recovery, and endpoint security.
- Familiarity with automation or system integrations (Zoho, Monday, or similar tools).
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently.
- Strong English communication and documentation skills (B2–C1 required).
- Ability to manage priorities and work effectively in a fully remote environment.
- Reliable workstation setup and stable internet connection.
