- Experience in a corporate Learning & Development environment, supporting enterprise-wide initiatives
- Hands-on knowledge with LMS platforms, with strong preference for Workday Learning
- Skilled in instructional design and development, with solid understanding of adult learning theory; leadership development experience a plus.
- Able to manage administrative tasks, coordinate projects, and maintain system processes efficiently.
- Works independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, exercising sound judgment and decision-making.
- Comfortable balancing LMS management responsibilities with hands-on design and content development.
Job Summary
Oversee the design and development of learning resources, including self-managed learning content, while monitoring and reporting on their effectiveness. Consult on and may participate in eLearning content support and contribute to the process of curricula development and enhancement.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
- Collaborates with leadership to define learning needs and design and develop appropriate learning to support objectives, meeting the needs of the target audience.
- Designs, revises, maintains, and delivers high-quality and effective learning resources.
- Provides learning recommendations and consults across the Learning and Development team for learning solutions.
- Support learning facilitation design and development needs.
- Applies instructional design and adult learning theory to design, develop, implement, and maintain training programs which may include instructor led, virtual instructor led, eLearning and blended learning programs.
- Provides recommendations for program marketing and communications, as well as definition, collection, and roll-up of program metrics while measuring and evaluating the effectiveness and ensuring achievement and alignment with business priorities.
- Executes and drives learning content design strategy and may deliver learning content.
- Contributes to authoring development standards, processes, and templates to produce consistent, quality instructional materials.
Nature and Scope
- Identifies key barriers/core problems and applies problem solving skills in order to deal creatively with complex situations. Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems. Makes decisions under conditions of uncertainty, sometimes with incomplete information, that produce effective end results.
- Independently performs assignments with instruction limited to the expected results. Determines and develops an approach to solutions. receives technical guidance only on unusual or complex problems or issues.
- May oversee the completion of projects and assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring, and reviewing progress and accuracy of work, evaluating results, etc. Contributes to employees' professional development but does not have hiring or firing authority.
Work Environment
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
- Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time.
Education and Experience
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally, 5-8 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 3-5 years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.
