JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for providing advanced technical expertise in the design, implementation, optimization, and support of KabaFusion’s enterprise network infrastructure across its national, multi-site environment. This role ensures reliable and secure connectivity for pharmacies, nursing offices, remote employees, and field staff while providing technical support for server, storage, and virtualization platforms. In addition, this position leads complex infrastructure initiatives and collaborates across IT teams to maintain scalable, resilient, and effective technology solutions.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

•    Minimum four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in network/infrastructure engineering, administration, or a related technical role, including experience supporting complex, multi-site environments. 

•    Demonstrated hands-on experience designing, implementing, administering, and troubleshooting enterprise LAN/WAN, routing, switching, VPN, firewall, and network security environments. 

•    Experience supporting enterprise networking technologies such as Palo Alto, Cisco, Meraki, Juniper Networks, or equivalent platforms. 

•    Experience with network architecture and design, including TCP/IP, Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, routing protocols, network security, data circuits, and voice/data communications. 

•    Experience supporting server, virtualization, and operating system environments, including technologies such as VMware, Windows Server, Citrix, Unix/Linux, or equivalent platforms. 

•    Experience supporting the availability, security, performance, and resiliency of business-critical infrastructure, including backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability environments. 

•    Experience implementing or supporting infrastructure upgrades, migrations, integrations, and technology solutions across enterprise environments.

EDUCATION:

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related is preferred. 

• Certifications: Network+, CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, MCSE, or other relevant certifications required.

EXPERIENCE:

• Four (4) to eight (8) years of prior relevant experience working in an engineering or administrative position required.

• Must have relevant hands-on experience with the following technology or equivalent: Palo Alto, Cisco, Meraki, or Juniper Networks.

• Must have hands-on network experience and understanding of Local Area Networks, Wide Area Networks, TCP/IP, Layer 2, and Layer 3 switching and routing protocols, EIGRP, BGP, VPN, network security/Firewall rules, data circuits and application-specific protocols.

• Experience required with

o VMware, Windows Server, scripting, and some Unix/Linux (shell).

o Various virtualization technologies such as VMware and Citrix.

o Architecture/design, implementation and administration of data/VoIP/eFax networks.

• Expertise in network systems solutions and network performance analysis. 

• Hands-on experience in voice & video conferencing, gateway setup, and maintenance.

Technical Skills:

•    Advanced knowledge of enterprise network architecture, infrastructure systems, network security, and performance optimization.

•    Strong technical expertise in LAN/WAN, routing, switching, VPN, firewall, and network security technologies.

•    Working knowledge of server, virtualization, cloud, identity, and endpoint management technologies.

•    Understanding of database technologies and SQL concepts as they relate to infrastructure environments.

•    Strong technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills for complex infrastructure and connectivity issues.

•    Ability to design, evaluate, and implement scalable, secure, reliable, and highly available infrastructure solutions.

•    Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, redundancy, and business continuity principles.
