Lazer Crypto is a specialized team within Lazer, comprising more than 30 full stack, web3 native engineers dedicated to building modern dApps and web3 solutions. This team helps founders and growing teams accelerate their product launches across various blockchain ecosystems. Our notable web3 clients include Berachain, Base, Privy, Polymarket, Uniswap, Alchemy, and others.

• 5-7+ years of infrastructure engineering experience with proven expertise building and operating systems at scale: data stores (PostgreSQL, Redis, DynamoDB), data pipelines, cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), DevOps tooling, and IaC (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation)

• Track record working with high-volume, mission-critical systems such as websocket feeds, real-time data flows, payment rails, or distributed architectures handling millions of transactions

• Actively uses AI tooling to inform architecture decisions, enhance observability, and accelerate debugging workflows; strong experience with monitoring stacks (Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and modern CI/CD pipelines

• Proven consulting/contracting experience with strong client management skills and excellent communication abilities for explaining technical tradeoffs and infrastructure decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• FinTech experience strongly preferred; crypto/web3 experience is a plus but not required. Self-sufficient professional who thrives with autonomy while managing client expectations and project timelines

• Embed with client teams to advise and architect scalable infrastructure solutions for high-growth crypto and FinTech applications, leading strategy discussions and managing project timelines for complex system migrations and scaling initiatives

• Design and implement robust data pipelines, real-time streaming architectures, and distributed systems that handle demanding workloads across web3 applications and protocols

• Build and optimize cloud infrastructure with comprehensive observability solutions to ensure system reliability, performance, and rapid incident response

• Architect solutions that bridge traditional FinTech infrastructure with web3 systems - handling blockchain node management, indexing pipelines, high-frequency data feeds, and unique crypto-native requirements

• Uplevel client engineering teams through mentorship, improved DevOps practices, enhanced platform reliability, and help grow our team's capabilities by experimenting with cutting-edge infrastructure tools

The following would be bonus experience to have, though highlight any additional experience or skills you may have. We like working with people with varied backgrounds and experiences.

• Experience running blockchain nodes (Ethereum, Solana, or other chains), managing blockchain data infrastructure, or working with indexing solutions (The Graph, custom indexers, RPC infrastructure)

• Background with payment processing systems, ledger architecture, financial transaction systems, or security and compliance requirements in regulated environments

• Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS)

• Knowledge of database optimization for high-write workloads and time-series data

• Relevant industry certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CKA, etc.) or technical publications
