We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Telecommunications Infrastructure Analyst to support the design, documentation, and coordination of low-voltage cabling and communications systems. This role is ideal for someone pursuing a career in ICT infrastructure design and offers an opportunity to work on large-scale infrastructure projects.
ABOUT THE JOB WHAT YOU’LL DO- Assist in designing and documenting structured cabling systems (voice, data, video, and security).
- Support RCDD-certified engineers in drafting floor plans, riser diagrams, and cable schedules using tools like AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, or Visio.
- Conduct site visits to assess infrastructure needs, including power, cooling, structured cabling, network capacity, and security.
- Develop technical site plans in collaboration with third-party architects, low-voltage design firms, and engineering teams.
- Gather comprehensive infrastructure requirements and conduct detailed evaluations to translate complex technical details into actionable Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Review drawings and specifications to ensure alignment with BICSI, TIA/EIA, and corporate IT standards.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors during project execution.
- Maintain accurate project records, documentation, and version control.
- Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success, serving as the liaison between the IT infrastructure team and low-voltage design/construction teams.
- Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Stay up to date with industry standards and support certification initiatives.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years in Network and/or Systems Infrastructure role, with at least 1-3 years in telecom infrastructure or structured cabling.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Bluebeam; extensive experience with vendor-agnostic network switching, wireless, and routing.
- Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills; capable of effectively working with diverse stakeholders.
- Documentation: Strong documentation skills and the ability to translate technical details into actionable SOWs.
- Site Assessment: Ability to conduct thorough site assessments (power, cooling, structured cabling, network capacity, security).
- Travel: Ability to travel for remote deployments when required and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Security Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
- Certification in project management or related fields.
- Exposure to BICSI standards or coursework (e.g., BICSI Installer 1 or Technician).
- Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects and familiarity with M&A processes and assessments.
- Proficiency in software tools such as Revu and Procore.
- Desire to pursue BICSI RCDD® certification.
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
