Job Description
THE ROLE
Coface is seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support and drive HR strategy across North America (United States, Canada, and Mexico).
This role operates as a key strategic advisor to senior business leaders, ensuring alignment between business priorities and people strategies while fostering a high-performance and inclusive culture across multiple geographies.
The Senior HRBP will lead and mentor a team of HRBPs (1 US, 1 Mexico), ensuring consistent execution of HR initiatives while adapting to local market needs. This individual must bring strong business acumen, credibility, and accountability, with the ability to build trusted relationships with both local leadership and international stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic HR Leadership
- Partner with senior leadership across the US, Canada, and Mexico to translate business objectives into scalable HR strategies and actionable plans
- Drive workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational design initiatives across the region
- Act as a trusted advisor, influencing decision-making through data, insights, and strong business understanding
- Lead regional change management efforts, ensuring alignment with global strategy and local execution
Team Leadership & Development
- Directly manage and develop two HR Business Partners (US & Mexico)
- Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to ensure a high-performing HR team
- Ensure consistency in HR practices while allowing flexibility for country-specific needs
- Promote accountability, ownership, and strong execution within the HRBP team
Talent Management & Organizational Effectiveness
- Lead talent reviews, performance management, and leadership development initiatives across North America
- Partner with leaders to strengthen leadership capability and build robust succession pipelines
- Support onboarding, career development, and employee growth strategies
- Drive initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness and employee experience
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Oversee complex employee relations matters with a balanced, credible, and solutions-oriented approach
- Foster a culture of trust, engagement, and inclusion across diverse teams and geographies
- Ensure consistent application of policies while respecting local employment practices
- Serve as a senior escalation point for sensitive employee issues
HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with US, Canadian, and Mexican labor laws and regulations
- Oversee core HR processes including compensation, benefits, and HRIS data integrity
- Partner with global HR and centers of excellence on regional implementation of programs
- Maintain strong governance and risk management practices across the region
THE CANDIDATE
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- 8–12+ years of progressive HR experience, including experience in a regional or multinational environment
- Proven experience supporting senior leadership and leading HR strategies across multiple countries
- Prior people leadership experience (managing HR professionals) required
- Strong knowledge of US labor laws; familiarity with Canada and Mexico employment practices highly desirable
- Demonstrated success handling complex employee relations and organizational challenges
- High level of credibility, accountability, and influence within leadership teams
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships across cultures
- Fluent in English; Spanish strongly preferred

Location: US - Remote (Sunbelt locations preferred: FL - TX - AZ) This role will require travel to our Mexico City office on a monthly or bimonthly basis.
