Job Summary
The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues. The successful candidate acts as an employee champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. Communicating needs proactively with our HR department and business management, the Sr. HRBP seeks to develop integrated solutions. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources.
Essential Functions

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with management to generate value-added services to maximize HR contribution to the organization.
  • Consult with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Manage and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit talent, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • May have oversight of a team of HR professional.
  • Direct the development of EEO/AAP plans and objectives which include programs to achieve the recruitment, development and advancement of AAP objectives.

Required/Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent required
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
  • 10+ years of industry experience, medical device experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Extensive experience resolving complex employee relations issues
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing operations team highly preferred
  • Ability to lead small teams / projects as needed
