This role will be supporting teams across both Quora and Poe.

About the Team and Role:

The People Team at Quora is responsible for supporting the company in pursuit of our mission. We aim to hire and retain world class employees and to create an environment where they can do their best work. We seek to be innovators and leaders in our field. As a remote-first company, we also strive to create connectivity within teams and across the company that rivals an in-person environment.

You’ll be a trusted partner and advisor to our teams and will also drive strategic company-wide programs including learning and development initiatives. You will have a high-level of impact through building relationships, training managers, resolving issues and leading through times of transition. You will influence our business leaders to build amazing teams through a compassionate and consultative approach. You’ll be able to try new things, lead projects you feel passionate about, and create sustainable change.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to all levels of management in dedicated functional areas

  • Provide front-line manager coaching & thought partnership on topics ranging from performance management to employee development

  • Identify opportunities for, develop, and implement learning and development initiatives with a focus on manager skill development

  • Support HR processes such as performance management cycle, employee relations, employee engagement, and other HR programs

Minimum Requirements:
  • Availability for meetings and impromptu communication during Quora's “coordination hours" (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm Pacific Time)

  • 4+ years of relevant, professional experience working with technical talent

  • 2+ years in an HRBP role or equivalent

  • 1+ year of experience driving learning and development initiatives

Preferred Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline

  • Startup experience

There are many factors that will determine the starting pay, including but not limited to experience, location, education, and business needs.

  • US candidates only: For US based applicants, the salary range is $100,800 - $148,400 USD + equity + benefits.

  • Canada candidates only: For Toronto and Vancouver based applicants, the salary range is $130,052 - $153,172 CAD + equity + benefits. For all other locations in Canada, the salary range is $121,382 - $142,460 CAD + equity + benefits.
