Reporting to the HR Director, we are seeking a dynamic and business-focused Senior HR Generalist/HRBP to support our Nazareth Cement Plant in Pennsylvania and our Camden, NJ and Wilmington, DE slag operations. This role serves as a trusted advisor to operations leaders and employees, partnering across a diverse manufacturing workforce to drive talent, employee relations, workforce planning, engagement, compliance, and organizational effectiveness. The successful candidate will contribute directly to business performance by aligning people strategies with operational objectives in a fast-paced industrial environment.
What You'll Be Doing- Partner with plant leadership to provide strategic and day-to-day HR support in employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and talent development.
- Lead recruiting, onboarding, and retention initiatives to attract and develop a skilled workforce across multiple operations.
- Coach managers on employee and labor relations matters, policy interpretation, corrective actions, investigations, and performance improvement strategies.
- Partner with leaders to identify, develop, and retain talent through succession planning, career development, performance management, and targeted learning initiatives that strengthen organizational capability and support business objectives.
- Support a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with employment laws, company policies, collective bargaining agreements (where applicable), and HR best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships with leaders and employees in a manufacturing, industrial, construction, or multi-site operating environment.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, labor relations, talent acquisition, performance management, workforce planning, and employment law compliance.
- Strong computer skills include MS Office products and HRIS systems, Workday preferred.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Self-directed, highly organized professional who can manage multiple priorities while supporting geographically dispersed operations.
- Primarily based at the Nazareth Cement Plant with some travel to the Camden and Wilmington slag operations.
- Combination of plant, office, and field environments supporting hourly and salaried employees.
- Frequent interaction with operational leaders, front-line employees, and corporate support functions.
- Fast-paced manufacturing environment requiring flexibility, adaptability, and a strong customer-service mindset.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required to support business initiatives, training, or company meetings.
