Your role at Clorox:
As the Technical Lead, you will play a crucial role in driving the technical direction of our products. This is a team leadership position in a product team that requires a combination of technical expertise, hands-on development skills, and the ability to guide and mentor a team of engineers. You will collaborate closely with the product owner (of his/her team) and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable, and innovative solutions.This role is a critical necessity to triage our development and configuration team and a liaison to our Product Owners.
In this role, you will:
- Provide technical leadership to the product team, guiding the design, development, and implementation of features
- Collaborate closely with the product owner, solution architect, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and contribute to the product roadmap
- Participate actively in the development process by writing code, conducting code reviews, and contributing to the team's coding standards and best practices
- Contribute to the architectural decisions of the products, ensuring they align with organizational goals and standards
- Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems, ensuring the stability and reliability of the product
- Take the lead in resolving critical technical issues and challenges
- Embrace and advocate for Agile and Scrum methodologies, participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospective meetings
- Contribute to technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, API documentation, and knowledge-sharing materials
- Serve as a subject matter expert, staying abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and driving technical excellence within the team
What we look for:
- 5+ years of experience in HR Technology or application management
- 3+ years of Workday experience. (Workday certification preferred)
- Proven experience as a Technical Lead or Senior Software Engineer
- Understanding of software development best practices and design patterns
- Extensive experience in coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve operational goals and deliver successful technology initiatives
- Familiarity with product orientated operating model and Agile methodologies and tools
- Requirement and user story documentation
