Position Summary

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) serves as the strategic HR partner to the Customer Experience (CX) organization within Alteryx's Go-to-Market (GTM) organization, partnering closely with executive and senior leaders to align people strategies with business priorities. This role supports leaders across Customer Success, Professional Services, Support, and Renewals, helping the organization scale, transform, and deliver exceptional customer outcomes while driving alignment across the broader GTM strategy.

As a trusted advisor, the Sr. HRBP influences business decisions through organizational design, workforce planning, talent strategy, leadership coaching, employee relations, and change management. Bringing a business-first mindset, the Sr. HRBP leverages people insights, workforce analytics, and operational data to help leaders build high-performing, engaged teams, strengthen organizational effectiveness, and navigate growth, transformation, and evolving customer and business needs.

The Sr. HRBP collaborates across the People Team and GTM HRBP community to deliver people strategies that strengthen Customer Experience and drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnership & Business Acumen

  • Serve as the primary HR partner to Customer Experience leaders, aligning people strategies with business priorities and organizational goals.

  • Build trusted advisor relationships and provide strategic counsel on organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, talent strategy, and leadership decisions.

  • Leverage workforce and business insights to identify trends, mitigate risks, and drive organizational performance and customer outcomes.

  • Translate business strategy into actionable people plans that enable growth, transformation, and operational excellence.

Organizational Effectiveness & Change Leadership

  • Lead organizational design, workforce planning, and change management initiatives that support business strategy and scalability.

  • Partner with leaders to improve organizational health, team effectiveness, accountability, and execution.

  • Guide leaders through organizational transformation, ensuring effective planning, communication, and stakeholder alignment.

  • Recommend data-driven solutions that strengthen organizational capability and business performance.

Talent, Leadership & Employee Experience

  • Lead annual talent processes, including performance management, compensation planning, talent reviews, and succession planning, ensuring alignment with business priorities and enterprise guidelines.

  • Coach leaders on performance management, career development, leadership effectiveness, employee engagement, and retention strategies.

  • Foster a high-performing, inclusive culture by leveraging employee feedback and workforce insights to enhance engagement and organizational health.

  • Advise leaders on complex employee matters while balancing employee experience, business objectives, and organizational risk.

Cross-Functional Partnership & People Leadership

  • Partner with People Team Centers of Excellence and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver integrated, scalable people solutions.

  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners across the GTM organization to align talent strategies and organizational priorities.

  • Lead or contribute to enterprise People initiatives and continuous improvement efforts that enhance HR effectiveness.

  • Influence stakeholders across all levels and provide guidance and mentorship to HR colleagues as appropriate.

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including significant experience as an HR Business Partner supporting senior leaders.

  • Minimum of 5 years of role-specific HRBP or equivalent strategic HR experience.

  • Demonstrated experience partnering with Director, Vice President, and executive-level leaders.

  • Experience supporting Customer Experience, Customer Success, Professional Services, Technical Support, Customer Education, or similar customer-facing organizations strongly preferred.

  • Experience within a SaaS, technology, or similarly fast-paced and evolving business environment preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience leading organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, and change management initiatives.

  • Strong experience managing complex employee relations and organizational matters.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align people strategies to business priorities and organizational outcomes.

  • Expertise in organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, talent management, leadership coaching, and change management.

  • Strong analytical, communication, coaching, and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.

  • Proven ability to lead complex initiatives, navigate ambiguity, and drive results with sound judgment and discretion.

  • Experience partnering with geographically dispersed and global teams in a matrixed organization preferred.

Compensation

Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation is determined by several factors, including but not limited to relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.

The salary range for this role varies based on the geographic location of the position. The ranges below represent the expected base salary for the candidates hired in the application locations:

  • New York/Boston/San Francisco/Seattle: $165,000-$185,000

  • Other US Metro Locations: $140,000-165,000

This role is also eligible for a target annual bonus of 15% of base salary, based on individual and company performance.

In addition to base pay and bonus eligibility, this role includes:

  • A monthly Connectivity Plus stipend of $150 to support remote work-related expenses

  • An annual $200 home office reimbursement
