The Opportunity

At BetterSleep, we're on a mission to help the world sleep better. With over 85 million downloads, we're one of the most trusted wellness apps globally, helping millions of people fall asleep, stay asleep, and wake up feeling restored.

We're at an inflection point. We're transforming from a content-driven sleep app into a connected sleep-health platform, where design, personalization, and behavioral science come together to create meaningful change in how people experience sleep.

This is a team that values speed, ownership, and thoughtful experimentation over doing things because they've always been done that way. We run continuous experimentation across our full channel mix. We're redefining how our marketing engine operates, we’re partnering closely with the Product team to drive LTV and not just installs, and we’re rethinking how a wellness app solves real-life problems. We're building a marketing organization that's deeply analytical, relentlessly curious, and willing to challenge assumptions in pursuit of better outcomes.

We're backed by BetterHelp and Teladoc, which gives us the resources of a public company. But we operate with startup-level ownership and speed. You won't be pushing pixels through an approval chain. You'll be shaping how millions of people interact with their sleep, every night.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a super-smart, ambitious and analytical performance marketer with a proven track record of acquiring users and delivering growth for a large-scale online mobile app. The ideal candidate will be able to recognize patterns from external data and identify interesting trends in the broader app marketplace to provide recommendations on design assets and product improvements.  This person is a proactive problem solver and an expert in user acquisition strategy. They don’t wait for tasks to be handed to them; they find the problem, and come to the table ready to discuss solutions. They are experienced with measurement of deferred revenue, SDK and pixel signal, and they are laser-focused on driving positive ROAS.

Responsibilities:
  • You will plan, deploy, develop, maintain, monitor, expand, analyze and optimize advertising campaigns with multi-million dollar budgets
  • You will develop and execute a data-driven experimentation roadmap that unlocks sustainable growth and improves marketing efficiency, coming to the table with strategy, not just execution
  • You will collaborate closely with our Data team, helping to shape attribution, incrementality testing, MMM/MMP strategy, and performance reporting rather than simply analyzing results
  • You will support in making proactive investment recommendations
  • You will proactively seek, identify and evaluate innovative opportunities for campaign growth and improvement; you will focus on shipping, not just ideating
  • You will continually strive for higher volume and margins with ongoing optimization
  • You will slice and dice an enormous amount of complex data into meaningful conclusions that can be turned into actionable decisions
  • You will collaborate actively with Creative, Product, and Engineering to drive cross-functional experimentation
  • You will analyze various algorithms, techniques, and statistical models for predictions in a dynamic data environment
  • You will take part in setting the overall marketing strategy by providing feedback and actively sharing data, results and ideas
  • You will enjoy great teamwork, lots of fun, and pride in building a product that has a positive impact on society.

RequirementsRequirements
  • BS/BA in marketing or any other relevant field preferred
  • 8 years of experience in running mobile large-scale paid online user acquisition campaigns in performance-driven environment
  • Experience in Meta advertising and Google AdWords
  • Experience with web and app analytics tools such as AppsFlyer, Google Analytics, Omni, Sigma, or others
  • Data junkie and Excel wizard preferred
  • Collaborative, hard working, execution-oriented, eager to get results and succeed
  • Great grasp of numbers with love for data and analytics
  • Good sense of marketing, consumer interaction, usability and persuasion
  • Eager to stay in the loop on market trends, particularly around creative strategy
  • Tech-savvy; eager to incorporate AI workflows to improve efficiency
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), time management and organizational skills
Bonus (not mandatory but good to have):
  • Experience working with influencers or acting talent
  • Experience integrating ad accounts with Claude MCPs (or similar)

Benefits
  • Competitive salary & compensation
  • Excellent health, dental, and vision coverage
  • Retirement plan with employer matching
  • Commuter & lunch benefits (UberEats)
  • Free access to telehealth & BetterHelp services
  • A product loved by millions — and admired by the press
  • Awesome people to work with
  • The chance to help people live a better life, every day

The base salary range for this position is $125,000-$155,000. In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus, and extensive benefits. Total compensation is based on several factors – including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
