About Sweatpals

At Sweatpals, our mission is to help people build real connection through movement - and empower the next generation of fitness entrepreneurs.

Backed by a16z Speedrun, Kevin Hart, and other world-class investors, we connect hundreds of thousands of “Pals,” hosts, and gyms through events, memberships, and social features.

We believe working out should be joyful, social, and inclusive - not just a solo grind. From run clubs and beach pilates to pickleball leagues and cold plunge socials, Sweatpals turns everyday workouts into meaningful social experiences.

Sweatpals also gives local leaders the tools to grow their fitness communities from side hustles to full-time, even million-dollar businesses. Hosts use our platform to run their business - from ticketing and memberships to marketing tools.

As we scale, growth and lifecycle marketing play a critical role in turning this mission into sustainable business impact. You’ll help build and optimize the systems that connect Pals to their next experience - and make Sweatpals a habit, not a one-time event.

What You’ll Do

We’re looking for a senior growth marketer who’s equal parts strategist and operator - someone who can design scalable acquisition and retention systems, work cross-functionally with product and data, and turn insights into measurable GMV and marketplace growth.

  • Own the end-to-end growth and lifecycle funnel - from first touch to repeat purchase

  • Design and execute lifecycle campaigns (email, push, SMS, in-app) that drive activation, retention, and reactivation

  • Build, test, and optimize paid and organic acquisition loops across Meta, TikTok, Google, and emerging channels

  • Create automated, personalized journeys that guide users from first event → second → community regular

  • Lead landing page optimization and experimentation to improve conversion rates and GMV per user

  • Own SEO and GEO growth strategies, ensuring Sweatpals ranks and scales across new cities and fitness verticals

  • Partner with product and design to develop growth-oriented features, referral loops, and onboarding flows

  • Analyze performance data, identify bottlenecks, and prioritize experiments with the highest impact on retention and revenue

  • Build internal dashboards and reporting systems for marketing performance, funnel efficiency, and lifecycle health

  • Manage growth and lifecycle budgets - ensuring efficient spend and strong ROAS

  • Collaborate closely with leadership on city-level and national growth strategies tied to company OKRs

  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to an experimentation-driven, high-velocity culture

What You BringExperience
  • 5–8 years of experience in growth, lifecycle, or performance marketing, ideally in a high-growth consumer tech or marketplace environment

  • Proven track record of driving measurable GMV, retention, or revenue growth

  • Experience running multi-channel campaigns and building automated lifecycle journeys

  • Strong understanding of analytics, experimentation, attribution, and performance reporting

  • Hands-on experience with landing page optimization, SEO, and localized GEO growth strategies

  • Eperience with tools like Customer.io, Braze, GA4, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or HubSpot

Skills
  • Deeply data-driven - you’re comfortable digging into metrics, segmenting users, and finding insights fast

  • Strong understanding of performance levers across Meta, TikTok, Google, and influencer channels

  • Expert in CRM and lifecycle systems - segmentation, automation, and personalization

  • Strategic thinker with tactical range - you can design a roadmap, launch tests, and move fast

  • Excellent cross-functional collaborator - you communicate clearly and work well with product, design, and brand teams

  • Highly organized, reliable, and thrives in a fast-paced startup environment

You’ll Thrive Here If You
  • Love finding growth leverage in data and turning insights into measurable results

  • Take full ownership of your metrics and think like a builder

  • Thrive in autonomy and speed - you move quickly, test often, and iterate fast

  • Are energized by ambiguity and experimentation

  • Care about community, storytelling, and building something that improves people’s lives

Our Values
  • Celebrate Diversity: We embrace different backgrounds, opinions, and ways of thinking

  • Be a Leader: We take initiative, speak up, and drive things forward - no matter your title

  • Roll Up Our Sleeves: No job is too small when we’re building something big

  • Embrace the Adventure: We stay curious, push boundaries, and see challenges as
    opportunities

Why Join Sweatpals
  • Help people find belonging and connection through movement - your work directly impacts how communities grow and thrive

  • Build the systems that turn real-world moments into repeatable, measurable growth

  • Own high-impact projects from day one - you’ll see the results of your work in real GMV, retention, and user happiness

  • Collaborate with a mission-driven team that moves fast, cares deeply, and celebrates big wins together

  • Full medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • Flexible PTO and remote-friendly policy

  • Monthly fitness & wellness allowance

  • Team workouts, IRL events, and early access to new Sweatpals tools

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
