The BOLDSCIENCE Senior Graphic Designer will take a leading role in managing all graphic design tasks inclusive of applying art and copy layout skills to create visually engaging concepts such as logos, promotional and branding materials, communication media, and other print and digital materials.
The Senior Graphic Designer will ensure all work aligns with strategy, deadlines, and budget requirements. Prior experience in Medical Communication agencies and pharmaceutical advertising is highly advantageous. BOLDSCIENCE operates as a remote organization across both the US and the UK. For effective collaboration in this position, we prefer candidates who are based in, or able to work within, Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours.
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Independently create high-quality creative concepts and designs for various media, both online and offline media.
- Provide guidance and direction to other designers, fostering creative development through constructive critiques and positive feedback.
- Independently manage projects through to final release, ensuring client objectives are met.
- Act as a solution-oriented graphic designer, addressing and resolving any design challenges.
- Utilize the latest in AI technologies to rapidly prototype, and aide in producing creative work as needed.
- Promptly interact with Client Services, Art Directors, Creative Directors, and Project Managers, ensuring regular review of design work to meet budgets, timelines, and proper execution standards.
- Work across multiple media formats, including both print, video, and digital.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Collaborate with medical writers to develop conceptual approaches tailored to client objectives.
- Apply best practices for print and digital projects while providing guidance to team members.
- Maintain positive working relationships with Medical, Traffic, Client Services, and Digital teams.
- Provide and guide examples of interactive design when appropriate.
- Assist department or team members as needed, depending on workload.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager or Creative Operations.
- Maintains records of billable project time as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with a major or significant coursework in Art, Graphic Design, or related disciplines preferred.
- 3-6 years of agency experience in digital and print design.
- Extraordinary design skills with a stand-out portfolio.
- Ability to operate and thrive in a fast-paced and iterative environment.
- Expertise in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Basic knowledge of motion preferred (Premiere, After Effects)
- 3D knowledge preferred.
- A degree within visual communications or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Have flexibility to travel for video shoots or pitches as required.
