The Senior Solution Architect (SSA) is a critical member of CDW's Digital Velocity team, supporting the development and delivery of transformative technology solutions that align with customer needs and business goals. This field-based pre-sales role focuses on collaborating with internal sales teams, delivery resources, and customers to define, design, and position best-in-class technology architectures and service offerings. The SSA contributes to the design of scalable and secure solutions across Google cloud, DevOps, and automation platforms. The ideal candidate thrives in a customer-facing role, enjoys solving complex business challenges with technology, and is eager to develop into a strategic thought leader.
* What you'll do:
* Work closely with sales and delivery teams to support technical pre-sales activities, including client discovery, solution design, and proposal development.
* Consulting on leading edge Google Cloud technologies and possess deep technical knowledge for a mixture of the following:
* Gemini Enterprise
* Vertex AI
* Google Data Analytics services
* Cloud native application patterns
* GCP Well-Architected frameworks
* Application and database migration
* Assist in developing and presenting solution architectures for assessments, deployments, and advisory services that align to customer objectives.
* Participate in customer meetings, discovery sessions, and whiteboarding discussions to understand business drivers and technical requirements.
* Create and contribute to project scoping documents, including proposals, service estimates, and Statements of Work (SOWs).
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of key technology partners and platforms in the Digital Velocity portfolio (e.g., GCP, DevOps tools, Kubernetes, etc.).
* Achieve and maintain technical certifications to support CDW's partner program requirements.
* Support strategic initiatives, internal enablement efforts, and knowledge sharing within the Digital Velocity practice.
* Provide technical guidance to junior team members and collaborate with Consulting Solution Architects on large-scale engagements.
* What we expect of you:
* Bachelor's degree and 5+ years architecting, delivering, or selling complex IT solutions. Or, 9+ years architecting, delivering, or selling complex IT solutions
* Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical discussions, influence decision-making, and align technology strategy with business outcomes.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into customer-centric solutions.
* Proven ability to build and maintain trust-based relationships with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a passion for customer engagement.
* Ability to mentor and coach peers, fostering knowledge transfer and collaborative team success.
* Must be comfortable working in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment.
