Locations: Waltham, MA - Hybrid

About the Role

SS&C Intralinks is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable web applications. This role involves contributing to all layers of our software stack, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and security for our critical financial collaboration platform.

Why Join SS&C

SS&C combines proprietary technology with deep industry expertise to support complex financial and health care operations. Our teams design, implement, and operate solutions that help clients manage data, automate processes, and scale their businesses with confidence.

You will work with industry experts, modern platforms, and evolving technologies, gaining exposure to real-world operational challenges and large-scale enterprise environments.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex features and functionalities across the full software development lifecycle.
  • Deliver high-quality, secure code across the entire stack, ensuring that efficiency and maintainability are never compromised by robust security implementations.
  • Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Drive engineering velocity by integrating AI-assisted development into the SDLC—specifically utilizing GitHub Copilot for real-time implementation and Claude Code for complex, repository-wide architectural refactoring.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues in production environments.
  • Mentor junior engineers, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security of applications.
  • Develop and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) to ensure software quality and prevent regressions.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating and recommending their adoption where appropriate.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in full stack software development.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern front-end framework (e.g., React, Vue.js) and strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Extensive experience with back-end development using languages such as Node.js, Python
  • Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Experience with RESTful API design and development.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and agile methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

What Sets You Apart (preferred qualifications)

AI / Modern Engineering Skills

  • Hands-on experience developing Agentic AI workflows and RAG pipelines in Python, specifically leveraging Vector Databases (e.g., Pinecone, Milvus) and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to build production-grade, data-aware systems. Knowledge of AI-driven automation, data pipelines, and scalable AI service integration.
