Job Description
We are looking for an exceptional full-stack software engineer to join a growing team and take on building web services and apps for John Snow Labs NLP libraries. The right candidate will have substantial proven hands-on experience with Python 3, JavaScript or TypeScript; deep understanding of full-stack and client-side web development, working knowledge of existing tools and frameworks for UI development, and a passion for high-quality code and design.
Mush haves:
- Strong knowledge and practice of writing reliable web applications.
- Experience with Python 3, backend frameworks, and distributed task queues.
- Teamwork practices (git flows, code reviews, issue trackers).
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and automated testing.
- Passion about user experience.
- Experience with running software in a Linux environment.
- Interest in modern technologies and desire to learn something new.
Good to have:
- A GitHub account with public contributions.
- Awareness about Spark and Jupyter notebooks.
- Frontend stack: JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS, building tools.
Also required is experience working in industry delivering production-grade software projects, working as part of an agile software team and using tools like GitHub and Docker.
